Also, I half expected some kind of unique game over when you go through with the summoning instead of developing a conscience. Instead, your character just dies.

The 'bless rain' and raindance stuff down in Africa doesn't come off as absurd since it really is down in the desert and water is an issue. Found them to be more of a hassle, if anything, since it sucks up your gold.

I think I'll also share a get-rich-quick scheme as a Christian ruler:
1. Make sure your religious head loves you.
2. Have a broad personal demesne, or just have lotsa city vassals in a small demense.
3. Find a mayor with a lot of money, then buy a favor from them; you'll need it.
4. Keep imprisoning the excommunicated mayor until they revolt, then win the ""war"".
5. Revoke their sole title; if they change the court, release and invite them back with a favor. Otherwise, banish him.
6. Have a high skill Marshal to improve your chances to recapture the former mayor; once they're imprisoned again, banish them.
7. Voila! Enjoy the gold you've stolen redistributed into your treasure chest!
