Cool.

If it happens again another way that might elicit some information, depending on the problem, is to make an uncompressed save shortly before the crash date and then seach the save game (in a text editor, probably Notepad++ assuming windows) for that date.  If it was a bugged delayed event then deleting that would have allowed the game to proceed, for instance.

It would also be worth uploading a copy of the save on the Paradox forum since they should be able to find the problem, and hopefully remedy for everyone in a future patch.

I haven't had this bug in ages, but I remember that looking long ago there'd be bugs where glitched armies would crash the game at a certain date.

I don't remember any more specifics about it.

I took a bit of a break of my current run in Africa to reflect on my achievements.

And I think it's pretty fucked up that I'm just waiting for my newborn baby girl to grow up to I can make her my concubine. Alongside my mother and my sister. For the achievement.

By the way, I've noticed quite a lot of the achievements don't proc if you're playing on shattered or random worlds even if they say they're achievement compatible.

I'm pretty sure that came up before.  Only a specific few achievements related to shattered/random worlds are available in those modes.

I imagine it's a lot like with custom nations in EU4. Only cheevos related to that feature work.

Yes, they're disabled. They said as much in the dev diaries. Kinda weird that they didn't put that in the game, not everyone reads those.

You know, it's funny how it's possible to cure cancer in the game (through various means that wouldn't normally cure cancer) but when it comes to leprosy, 'nothing can be done'.... pfft...

It could have been a misdiagnosis though?

No, I mean getting the 'trait' leprosy, not the court physician thinking it might be leprosy.
