At least the Arab ones will be an improvement regardless.

Still, I already feel a twang of nostalgia for the old ones. In the Vault of Old they go. At least now the Big Nose portraits of CK1 will have company.

A tip is to wait a little before buying. Like a couple of hours. GMG sometimes runs a day 1 deal that's better than the steam offer. One time I managed to buy a DLC from Steam, just to get a discount mail 3 mins later.

Unfortunately for some of us, GMG seems to only sell in a select few currencies. So it's actually cheaper for me on Steam. Harrumph.

I’m more excited that they added the new Italian portraits. I own the Iberian portrait pack and it just didn’t feel right.

It's not that appropriate to Iberia either, honestly, it's just a mediocre quality portrait pack. Arguably the worst.

Far from the worst. The worst are Mayan, Russian, Celtish, Norse and West-African, in order of most to least worst. The Mongol ones aren't particularly good either.

For reference, the ones I consider the best are the German, Norman, Tibetan, and Chinese ones, in no particular order.

I can't actually remember, were the Mongols part of the vanilla game or added later? Because if they're part of the base portrait packs then I guess they wouldn't count, they're not particularly good any of them.

That's not my game, BTW; I've found it on /r/crusaderkings thread.

As for Greek potato faces, I've no idea, since I don't own any portraits packs other than the free ones/the ones that come with M&M.
