But if you want to edit names mid game you can do it to (non-iron man) quick saves in any text editor.

So I finally completed one of my most sought after but hated achievements, My Very Own Subcontinent. (Every single thing in India you see up there is a King bowing to me. Not pictured is everything collapsing one ruler later)

Basically you need to conquer the entirety of India as an Indian.

It's not difficult honestly, as nothing ever happens in India, but that's why I've never wanted to do it... because nothing ever happens in India. It's easily one of the most boring achievements to get in the game.

NOTHING HAPPENS IN INDIA.

I was hoping to get the Black Death achievements as well in this playthrough but you know what? Even the Black Death completely skips India. It can't be bothered. None of the invasions come to India either. There's no crusades, no heresies, or any sort of religious turmoil. The only casus bellis are subjugation and the regular ones like fabricate claim and de jure, which means ultra slow painting the map. Even subjugation doesn't work on 2/3 of the subcontinent as they're a different culture to you.

There's barely any special events that happen to Indians. Hell, the entire Hunting thing doesn't proc for Indians to the point where they can't even go on Great Hunts.

So it's just you and a bunch of other faceless mooks, slowly painting the map. Nothing exciting changing anything other than the usual succession crisis. Slowly passing time away as each of you dies of boredom.

Finally, I don't have to care any more.

Now go for the Indian in Britain achievements.

If I remember correctly that was fairly easy to do.

You grabbed one of the British Norse raider folk. Raided India for an Indian concubine. Converted to whatever religion it was and then made Britannia.

Nah, you can do almost all the Conquer X as Y achievements as the Norse.

"Nothing happens in India"

Well, my present game says otherwise. Two Great Romuvan Holy Wars were called on the very eastern edge of India. I have NO fucking clue why, the closest Romuva ruler is in the central Eurasian Steppes.
Because every religion has a few places with, let's call it "great holy war weight". That means whenever one is called, it tends to prefer to target those areas. When all such areas are under the religion's control, it just picks at random.

And India has a lot of de jure Kingdoms in it compared to some regions of the world, so it has better odds of being picked than, say, Africa which has just 5.

I think I play too much DF, cause I find it a game with an easier UI than CK2

Those balance changes seem pretty nice, mostly minor fixes really.  It's always neat when they fix problems I've encountered but didn't notice.
The 50-years for capital change is probably a nerf mostly, but a buff to immortals I suppose :P

W-wait, you can eat your prisoners??  Do you have to be a lunatic or something?

Cannibalism was added in RD, IIRC. It's a trait or something like it, I know Gluttonous increases the chances of getting it.

If you go into seclusion for long enough you might eventually get an event where someone takes a lot from your food stocks. You can jail them, let it pass, or have them... make up for it.

There's also an event that gives you cannibalism if you're a lunatic and go out carousing. Dunno why.
