Thanks again for posting the dev diaries!
It's not like it's any actual effort. Just a simple copy and paste, with a few added seconds to copy the image addresses and put them between image tags. I'm actually kind of excited due to what it means for modding, since I am getting into that for CK2.

This opens interesting options for mods such as the Warhammer one and Game of Thrones. For example, you could get the Maester Conspiracy and Mummer's Dragon people as secret societies in it etc.

Cannot wait for the patch/DLC! I really like those awesome interface changes.

This!  Glad it's easy, but it's really nice to see them here.
And this looks SO COOL, even before mods!  I guess opinion-wise, cultists probably behave as though they have the normal religion penalties towards members of their true faith (secrecy is key, after all).  But they have that bonus with their fellows in hiding.  Not a likely bonus to notice unless you obsessively compare opinion modifiers between NPCs!
I'm excited!

Yeah, I suspect that modders making hackish versions of this concept is a big part of what inspired Paradox to make it the focus of a DLC. Items, also in the update, are in pretty much every fantasy mod, and I can think of few that didn't have some form of (secret or otherwise) society that could use this mechanic.

The GoT people said they won't be able to replace their item-trait system with the new one, however, because the armoury can't be viewed by anyone but the owner. I mean, they'll probably utilise it, but it's not making the traits obsolete.

CK2 is now 5 years old.

EDIT: And I'm an idiot who forgot to copy the actual anniversary Dev Diary.

    It's here, by the way

You will not believe this, people! Glitterhoof won spear throwing contest! The screenshot got slightly corrupted, unfortunately (Glitterhoof is at the bottom of the screenshot).

I... I have no words... H-h-how did this horse even managed to throw spears? Hell, I even mangled it accidentally and yet it won the contest!

Nobody opposed you when you put a horse on the council. Who do you think is going to object when you say the horse won a spear throwing competition?

My theory is everyone's spear throwing was so utterly appalling that the king just said screw it and nominated a horse instead.

Maybe because your character is a lunatic, he imagined the entire thing in his head.

Or that horse is damn good at picking spears up and throwing them with it's mouth, or it could have really dexterous hooves.  :P

@FlyingCarcass- Is this from that playthrough where some person managed to restore Roman Empire as a horse?

Someone needs to draw a picture of it.
