Haha, its almost like real wars in that time period... although IIRC Crusades usually lost steam before then.  Probably because they were offensive wars and the attackers didn't lose anything concrete by going home (much like certain modern era wars I can think of).

You misspelled seance.  Are possessing Draignean?  Are you actually a ghost in the shell? You have to tell us if you are, that's the rule

Pointless boondoggle if you ask me.

Looks like my attempt at being a Jewish leader came to a stalemate. Egypt is all around me, and though they are bankrupt, they aren't going to anywhere, so I have zero chance to actually do anything.

Cool, but wouldn't this likely lead to tongues having a '[SPEACH]' tag, and thus via necromancy we would have nearly unkillable reanimated tongues following necromancers spamming 'it is sad but not unexpected'?

1. Capture a Muslim
2. Have them educate your heir
3. Become Emirate
4. Swear fealty to Egyptians
5. Usurp Egypt through sneaky sneak
6. Educate your heir with a Jewish courtier (you've hopefully been keeping a family of)

You may be able to swear fealty directly as Jewish but it can be risky if you don't have some talented skill to offset the occasional zealous liege Lord trying to forfeit all your shit for being an infidel, then you can simply begin conquering county after county until you are the true power of Egypt in all but name (then you usurp the title to be the true power in name)

With conclave, you could also manipulate laws so that religious revokation isn't a thing.

Yeah, but that involves manipulating the council while being a heathen. From my experience, this is particularly annoying not because it's difficult to pull off but because you have to constantly do it as the king will be constantly trying to change it back.

You'd need to do it every ten years or so I think, maybe 15/20 if you can completely negate revocation laws. That's a lot of bribing of the most powerful people in the land for favours, but might be manageable.

You'd think that, but when I tried to be a nice Lombardian loyal lord it got super annoying.

There are so many annoying parts:
- Sometimes even if you bribe people, if they already accepted a favour from someone else they'll happily take your money then do nothing with it.
- If anything happens to the king, the new dude will happily start changing laws and councilors.
- If they don't like you, they probably won't accept your bribe.
- I'm not too sure on the mechanics, but I'm fairly certain the time to change laws is dramatically shortened if the king gets cock-blocked in the council.
- Most importantly, you need to be on the council.

It's not impossible, but it's annoying. It's really hard as a heathen though. After about a hundred and fifty years of it I got tired of having to constantly defend myself from my own king and just seized the entirety of southern Italy, called it South Lombardy, and told the king to eff off.

They can, but they can't change the same law that got blocked for about 10 years. If you block revocation they can pass different laws next year, but can't touch revocation for a decade.

There was once where I had to save scum because I joined a plot to replace the king (the game didn't say with who like it normally does). I assumed it was some relative like it normally is. We won easily as the king only had one demesne but they replaced him with me. Some random duke who wasn't even that well liked. Hell, I would have thought at least the faction leader would take over in that case.

So yeah, my Mongol Empire is doing well. I own much of the steppe, and I'm almost done exterminating every single Russian tribe to make more room for my horses. It's about 900, I have 120.000 people in my clans and both the Byzantine and the Abbassid are paying tribute to the Khan of Khan.

I'm thinking of leaving my Empire to the AI, and switch to something else. Viking maybe? I'd love to establish a Pirate Kingdom in the various Medditteranean islands. What do you guys suggest?
