So, apparently when an enemy army retreats voluntarily, the game lets THEM go a single province to attack half of my army. When *I* do a voluntary retreat, my army goes halfway across the fucking country.

I've had voluntary retreats move to the directed province and I've had those which end with the army running shattered across the realm. I think it has to do with whether the enemy still manages to rout your forces while they're trying to disengage. Remember, even after you've ordered them to love away the enemy still gets to do morale damage to your armies.

And always remember: There is no problem in this game assassination cannot fix.

Well, in certain situations, it can be risky in MP games.

There is. Like being low on plot power.

Cool, but wouldn't this likely lead to tongues having a '[SPEACH]' tag, and thus via necromancy we would have nearly unkillable reanimated tongues following necromancers spamming 'it is sad but not unexpected'?

Not that I use it much, I just think it ought to be an option...

The correct line is:

There is no problem in this game that killing everyone cannot solve. Assassinations are stupid unless you go out of your way to install a mod.

Speaking of which, I wish there was a "fear" rating in the game. Vassals should really be allowed to be cowed into their place, especially cowards. When it becomes obvious that you're murdering people who disagree with you, people should have a Fear: +50 relationship or something.

There would need to be a separate meter for it, and it would need to be on a spectrum (like the relationship meter) but that it's only effective between certain ranges, below or above which people either don't take you seriously or think you need to be taken out because you're such an evil bastard.

NPCs are not very good at making connection. Like, I once had two sons. One was scheduled to take my Empire and my primary kingdom and another was scheduled to take over my two secondary kingdom and an unincorporated Duchy. I didn't want two kingdoms as lousy as they were to got one character, so I gave them to loyal local dukes. My son didn't care even though I robbed him off most of his inheritance.

Or when you dump someone into clergy and they are grateful for giving them barony, even though you disqualified them from a duchy.

Yeah, seriously, fuckin'. Machiavelli. It's best to be feared and loved, but the game only gives you the latter option.

Is that CK2+? I really dislike that character panel interface they got going there. No idea why, I just don't. Which is a shame, since the rest of the mod is pretty good.

Actually, there are two such relationship bonuses:
-Subjugated, after you win a subjugation war (the head liege still gets the minus for declaring war, which tends to be larger, but its something)
-Suppressed Revolt, after you win a revolt war

I've effectively bluffed myself past Lollard Kaiser's AI and made him surrender as my war effort was at the brink of collapse.
Still nice being actually able to take advantages of revolts like this.

Tried installing Elder Kings, but failed :(

First tried it manually, but the world never changed from CK2 to Tamriel.
Then I used the installer and it just fails to start at all.

WHAT AM I DOING WRONG?

Bought all major DLC but Conclave. Any advice on where to start to get more familiar with them?
