it's probably about death.
Probably secret bears.
Both of above sentences are true.

After generations of planning I have successfully managed to take over my duchy. My herideary line is still in danger with all those pesky nephews, but I'll manage.

What was weird that for a short time I was warned that I'm about to lose my duchy to my former duchess's heir. Then it disappeared and I got my proper line of succession. Can somebody clarify mechanic behind it?

Cool, but wouldn't this likely lead to tongues having a '[SPEACH]' tag, and thus via necromancy we would have nearly unkillable reanimated tongues following necromancers spamming 'it is sad but not unexpected'?

Game takes a while to catch up.  Perfectly normal, but scary.

And now when I am a duke, I suddenly have claim for Denmark. I wonder where did it come from.

Denmark seems to be in a pretty bad shape, it has almost as many levies as I. But I don't think I'll manage still. Can I petition my liege to help me out or something?

Can you hire mercenaries? Or ask someone for money and then hire mercenaries?

I don't have enough funds for that right now. On the other hand I got to farm some prestige and piety during crusade against heretic kaiser of Holy Roman Empire (So much for holy)

I almost murdered my heir in a fit of misreading the interface. Embarassing.

In general warnings like that mean that you don't have a direct heir lined up.  So if you die you lose the title (and possibly the game).  Most common reason: no male children, or no children in general.

You misspelled seance.  Are possessing Draignean?  Are you actually a ghost in the shell? You have to tell us if you are, that's the rule

I know what this warning means, I lost a game this way before. I was just confused because it was out of place.
Apparently, game just took some time to recalculate line of succession, which confused me.

Am I correct that as long as my dynasty has some landed nobles I can carry on? I've got some third cousin count somewhere, he still has has drop of blood on his icon. Would I jump to him if my main lineage end?

I think they stopped regularly checking succession in the name of optimization, so it takes up to a month to recalculate. I'm 95% sure that it rechecks succession upon death though, so if you have the misfortune of dying in that brief window, it should still give you the correct heir -- so it's purely a graphical thing.

Yah, it sounds like minecraft with content, you have obviously missed the point, people dont like content, they like different coloured blocks.
Seems to work fine with my copy. As soon as I loaded the human caravan came by and the world burst into fire.

Only if they're your heir in some fashion. If your primary line dies off and all it's counties go to a non-dynasty member it's game over, if a dynasty member inherits any of your counties then you'd instead jump to them.

You can only jump to other lines if the other line inherits land from you. Seniority succession is pretty handy for that, since it always pick the oldest member of your dynasty regardless of other factors.

So some random 23rd cousin count of Pecs is not a valid fallback plan?

If your succession laws make them your heir then yes they're a valid plan. If they won't get any of your land then they aren't. The game tracks you as a player based on inheritance of your own land, generally your heir should inherit your capital county, if the person who'll do that is not from your family then it's game over.

It's usually a good idea to keep a few landed close relatives around in the world. Marrying female dynasty members matrilinealy to random courtiers is a good way to bulk out your dynasty, as is marrying spare males to female nobodies. Then you can give the closely related ones land in your Kingdom/Empire and rely on them to keep you going if you hit a spot where most of your immediate line dies of disease or misfortune.

I usually do it anyway. Actually considering not marrying any daughters away from non-matrileniary court just in case because I'm not sure what's the benefit otherwise.

But recently I got line of succession filled with some nephews from Rus and it made me worried. Now worries are gone, I once again has entire line filled.

Daughters are intended to be married off to kings and princes of foreign lands for alliances, but since that's generally considered a bad idea by the playerbase it doesn't come up much in discussions. Marrying off children for alliances gives foreign lands claims on your titles, which is usually a bad idea.

I also used matrylinear marriage to bring in valuable specialists for my council.
