:|  My son and hier, who was just literally in my little doomstack leading a flank becaue I just put him there, was somehow sacrificed to the norse gods.  But . . .  he wasnt captured by them?


Im a little upset about this because Ive been jailing and humiliating my brother, the  next best canidate for the position.  My second son is fat and trash and I gave him a duchy already.

Guy was crazy.  I must have missed that.  Had lunatic, so likely offered himself up.

My the father, known for some time as 'The terrible' let his brother out of jail for the first time in almost 20 years.  The guys responds by getting a concubine and having a baby, then plotting to kill me.  I scoffed and thought 'as if he could muster anything', but sure enough, a snake tried to mate with me in bed.

Now, as if you couldn't see this coming, the 58 year old brother is on the throne, and its looking like his grandson will sit based on the court opinions.  Shame too, because his new son has potential to be amazing.

A bigger shame is that my direct line lost its hold (though you could argue that it merely skipped over to the brother), gavelkind has made of mess of the balance of power, and I feel a sense of disconnect because of it all.  Its just a mush, and I need 2 more wars on pommerania to take that holy island.

Coalitions are a thing in CK2 now. New mapmode, Infamy, and some other stuff added as well.

Not sure how i feel about that.

Sounds great to me! Hopefully people will be able to join coalitions over religious borders.

If the strategic elements of Civilization had the political intrigue of CKII I might actually starve to death.

Or CK2 strategy combined with Total War battles and a more advanced economy system, then happiness would ensue.

Throw in the possibility to control every unit in battle like in Men Of War or something, and you literally have the game to end all games.
Also game to end all disk space.
