Ahah, this has been a journey. I'll look into the Vic2 extension but I don't think I'll be able to, took a bit of finagling just to get the ck2 to eu4 to work. To make matters worse I don't believe there's an official converter for eu4 to v2? I suppose another option is to use the extended timeline mod for eu4, to see just how truly eternal the eternal dynasty is, or manually create a Miroslav mod.

At any rate, thanks everyone for joining me on this journey so far. Whether this is the end or not, this has been over a thousand years of feuding in the span of half a year. It's been Fun!

The fanmade V2 Converter actually works quite well (or, rather, did when I used it), but given that you've been editing, I imagine it might be trickier. Still, you might as well give it a shot - I think you can find it in the Steam Workshop.

I would want to see a AAR of multiple Paradox Games through ages, with longest timeline possible, but I think that by end of first (would it be CK2 or we had something before that could be converted to CK2?) game the world would be too broken to really work in later ones.

I think multiplayer would be best for that, to keep blobbing between nations more balanced.

As long as you roleplay and limit yourself a bit, it's more than possible without massive blobbing. You'd probably need to convert manually, though.

Or shift nation every so often. I remember reading a megacampaign where the player created one massive Abbaside blob, then switched to England around 1300. By the end of EUIV, it looked like 1984, with Oceania and Eurasia facing each other.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)
A new run, with Chief Marko Miroslav of Rayy (where Tehran is today) popping up to praise the sun. Rayy was situated on the border between Arabia and Persia, with many Zoroastrians still running around making themselves a nuisance; pagans were still not that rare a sight within the great Arabian Empire.
Originally working for the great Caliph Al-Madi Abbasid, the Caliph sought to delegate administration of conquered and reconquered lands and gave command of Sheikh Jahandar Khurramid and Chief Marko Miroslav over to one of his sons, imaginatively named Al-Madi Abbasid, the new Emir of Hamadan.
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
Fortunately for Chief Marko, Emir Al-Madi was more concerned with retaining men of talent than spreading the faith. Chief Marko was promoted to Commander and fought for Emir Al-Madi as his Lead and Loyal Commander, and in peace time served as his Marshal, raising reinforcements in quantities unmatched by any other. Being a young man with not much else to do, Chief Marko married a Persian beauty and whilst not working for Emir Al-Madi, began enjoying the comforts of life.
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
There was a slight culture shock however, when Chief Marko realized he was in the company of Muslims who frowned upon carousing and drinking. Chief Marko wandered his castle perturbed by all of these people who didn't praise the sun. Eventually he found just who we was looking for: An Arab of amoral tendencies, prone to wasting his money on worldly delights.
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
Jalil the Lowborn and Chief Marko would become great friends, and a was a friend in strange times much needed. Of all in the Miroslav court, only Jalil actually liked Marko, and they were merry and drank drinks and gave thanks to both Gods. Understandably the rest of the court was not happy with this, but at the very least with the promotions of some prominent governors to courtly positions some of them were convinced that Marko did not need to die, but was in fact a tolerable ruler. And while Marko was made Chief Poet and Commander-Marshal of Hamadan off of his merits, Jalil was made regent of Rayy for no other reason than he was Marko's best friend. Tragedy would befall one of the Wali of Roudehen and Marko would inherit the mosque there, turning it into the new Sun Temple.
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
Chief Marko would take this time to make a new friend! Marko also began marrying off his courtiers to keep them happy and starting new families, and Jalil even had a daughter... Albeit, an imbecile one. Marko had two genius daughters and an average son, so the family is in good shape. With not much else to do other than fight the Emir's battles, Marko continued matching up loving couples and carousing with banterous gentlemen. And whilst slander was haraam, much gossip was abound through the court that Empress Shahzadah was cheating on Caliph Al-Madi...
Haha. There was something refreshing here, just being a schizophrenic marshal of the Caliph's son. When Marko fought it was just a job, deep in the Abbasid heartlands there was no one who could invade him - he was quite safe from the consequence of battle. When the Caliphate expanded north and eastwards it was a passing note of interest to the three jolly Carousers, when Charlemagne united the Franks and Germans or the Byzantine invaded the Bulgarians it mattered not; even when the Caliphate was shockingly defeated by the Hindus of Afghanistan the Caliphate was humbled but still a juggernaut of power. The only real impact on the Sunni world was that a single Zoroastrian county successfully gained independence under the warlord of Urgench. A small province on the border of mighty Nomads and Muslim rulers, it is hoped nonetheless that future generations of Miroslavs may be able to help the Mazdans revive their religion.
The real test came when Marko went to war against Jahandar. Zoroastrian fought Zun over a quarter of Hamadan. Thanks to the organization of the Serbian armies by Marko and stellar leadership under Commander Uways and Khalil, the Serbian forces defeated the Zoroastrians at the battle of Dehnamak and the battle of Sari. Jahandar tried to rally reinforcements to his cause but just under 100 barbarian nomads from the Bonyaks of Khazaria and Balsags of Alania fought for Marko in destroying the Zoroastrian relief forces. Eventually Marko came to rule over half of Hamadan, whilst Emir Al-Madi ruled over one quarter and Caliph Al-Madi ruled over the other quarter. Luckily for the Emir, Marko had no designs to take over Hamadan and continued to fight loyally out of a mixture of loyalty and practicality.
There was a brief drama when the brother of the Caliph tried to assassinate one of Marko's governors in order to gain their inheritance. While the Caliph probably wouldn't have cared if I killed him, it was certainly risky nonetheless to do anything to him. So instead of judging him, Marko let the sun judge him. Amazingly he survived and became a lunatic, seeing the world as Marko did.
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
Most of the times you'd think Marko is a completely well adjusted genius but when the crazy comes to fore it shows up full strength.
Anyways after that debacle Marko began boxing with Jalil, Mislav Markoic Miroslav was born and Marko returned to worldly friendship joys. Great Empires are growing all around him but now is not the time to recreate the Empire of the Sun and Serb.

Found this megacampaign LP. It uses CK1 though.

Might be more out there, but since this is the only one I read, it shows pretty well how to not blob out of control.

The Kingdom of Jerusalem megacampagin is the better of the two on LP Archive.

Could use the soundtrack of some Kubric movie. I admit that the 2001 main theme is a bit overdone, but the rest isn't.

Hahahah, Marko Miroslav began expanding the Abbasid Empire's borders by incorporating more foreign persian lands into his own; and when the Emir of Hamadan was replaced by an unlikeable sod Marko decided that before he died (as by then, he was quite old and had outlived all of his friends), he would take over the Duchy of Hamadan. He began rebellions, taking two rebellions to finally take over all of Hamadan, and during the first one since he placed himself under the direct vassalage of the Caliph. Caliph Al-Madhi and Caliph Al-Madhi II both recognized Marko's strategic genius and made the lunatic Serb the marshal of the armies of Damascus and Arabia. When the Byzantine Empire invaded Armenia in the year of 808 they brought 12,000 men whilst the Arabian Empire had 13,500, severely weakened after the loss of Egypt. Caliph Al-Madi I died in battle with the Byzantines but Caliph Al-Madi II made Marko a commander in the Arabian army, leading the right flank of the Abbasid army in the battle of Duhok where 9,500 Byzantines died while only 5,700 Arabs died.
Marko Miroslav is trying to retain his Zun infidel faith and is doing so quite well. When the Caliph requested three of his children for reeducation to make them proper Bedouin Muslims, Marko sent the three oldest and edgiest of his daughters knowing they'd refuse to give up their old ways. He's also managed to get a Miroslav child in the line to inherit the Kingdom of Punjab (and although Deislava Miroslav caught pneumonia in India, her Mirza son is Miroslav and will live on, possibly as a Punjab or Serb). Zun pagans being able to marry into Dharmic faiths is one hell of a boon, though somewhat hampered by the inability to interact with most of faraway India. The greatest gift definitely has to be Marko's heir and grandson. After one of his sons died in infancy of illness and his oldest gained a grievous head wound in battle, the heir apparent became his grandson through his firstborn daughter. This grandson was one Hetman Mihailo Miroslav, who descended from an Abbasid matrilineally married to a Miroslav, rearing a genius, strategic genius, sayyid, siege officer who is just, kind, brave, diligent, honest, patient, lusty and a twin (with his twin sister being in India). His learning is 12, intrigue 13, stewardship 17, diplomacy 19 and martial 27. This should certainly improve the Miroslav pagans standings in the eyes of the Muslims; it is rare when loyalty in CK2 is actually more profitable than treachery. I'm staving off converting to Islam as although it would quadruple the possibilities and the Sayyid trait without Muslims around to appreciate it is quite worthless, due to decadence mechanics a large Miroslav dynasty would likely implode. Moreover, I wish to praise the sun. The greatest downside to working for the Caliph is that I cannot convert provinces to the sun. The greatest boon is that I get to fight the greatest Kings and Emperors from Africa to Constantinople, the Steppes and Western Steppes without worry. The Emir Miroslav of Hamadan has command over 6 provinces and 6,000 men. Marko has started an independence faction but it seems the Zoroastrians who joined the previous independence revolt are now all gone. Hetman Miroslav will have to take over Persia within and without before leading the revolt to praise the sun.

In case 2, wouldn't you lose the empire if someone outside your dynasty won?  I haven't had it happen yet, but they do get nominated a lot.  You'd be right under tanistry though, which is basically elective except only your dynasty is eligible.
