Er... It's a folder, not a file. A folder inside the map folder.

There are no folders inside the map folder. Just two .bin files called navaldist_cache.

The steam map folder has a bunch more stuff, but also no cache folder.

... Hrm. That's... weird. :? Like, really weird. Did Paradox change that? Because I know I've deleted map/cache in CK2 before.

I've never messed with it before, so that's how it downloaded.

Oh, and using the Steam mod folder did not successfully launch, still got No Character Europe.

My best guess is a) you didn't get a proper download, something glitched out and you don't have a complete mod, or b) the beta you chose for the version you downloaded is the wrong version? Apparently the GitHub is on 2.2.1.3, while the mediafire one is 2.2.1

Version is definitely correct, I am in beta 2.2.1 and downloaded from mediafire. I guess I'll redownload another time.

It's definitely a lot harder to do anything in CK2 now. The vassal limits are really chafing. Also almost everything you do makes your vassals hate you (more than what they used to).

Also a lot of things like removing gold from banishing and making retinues take eons to reinforce is kinda annoying.

Though it also means instead of me just ransacking everyone around me because I have nothing better to do, now I'm constantly imprisoning my own vassals. The intrigue trait is so freaking good for this with the "spy on" skill. Unfortunately I can't banish them for money any more so I just imprison them forever. I also can't be bothered attacking any external forces as I don't have enough vassal limit to expand. I think those old achievements like SPQR are actually impossible to do now for anyone who hasn't gotten it.

Her milkshake is massively better? (I haven't looked in event files or anything, but I my personal impression is that characters with high diplomacy get more opportunities to acquire lovers)

Yes the character has the "Seduction" life focus which gives them an option to seduce people of the opposite sex. This is naturally infinitely more valuable to a woman...I am thinking of making a dynasty of seductress queens to see how far I can get and if I can seduce the world into my kingdom essentially...
