I don't think you have the ability to force him to call a great holy war as Zoroastrian. He also very rarely does since all the kingdoms with a decent crusade weight for Zoroastrians is probably already under your control by the time you restore the high priesthood. Once did an almost WC (everything except the British Isles and about half of Iberia) as Karen and only had one great holy war called during the entire ~300 year existence of the high priesthood.

Time to establish the Viking Raj in Bangladesh.

In this world, all Indians will be blond, have blue eyes, and long, braided hair.

It makes me uncomfortable how much Hitler would have liked this post XD
Hitler had brown eyes and short, black hair, which he wore in what google tells me is called a "side parting". (He was 5' 7'', but that is neither here nor there.) And he wasn't even all that fond of India. What is it he would have liked?

Because Hitler was anything but a hypocrite, right?

Hint: it's Vikings

The part where you took a joke and treated it like it wasn't a joke.  I hear Hitler was fond of that.

Also your interpretation of this doesn't make sense.  Yes Hitler doesn't fit his own racial ideal, but he's a crazy person in power.  Who's going to tell him and why would he listen?  And I hear Hitler wasn't fond of Russia, that didn't stop him from trying to racially "purify" the parts of Russia he could pry out of the Soviets' cold cold hands.

I'd love to time travel to go to the "Other Games" section in 70 years, then come back here and become rich with my knowledge of trends and cultures of futures games and marvel at all those future games.

I've now beaten CK2+ in practically every way. Celtic/Roman/Jewish games are checked off the list, so now I think I've 'won' as every religion. All I really want is the expansion and more moddage that doesn't crash all the time. New AGOT mod patch is hilariously unstable so that's out, too.  :( Any big mods that are worthwhile and spice things up? I'm eagerly awaiting that Elder Kings mod to be fleshed out.

There is the Historical Immersion Project, which is Project Balance, VIET, SWMH and a few others rolled into one package. Don't know if that would intrest you.

So, the year is 1206, I'm a huge Zoroastrian empire in NK mode.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

Would it be a good idea to switch over to feudal again? If so, how would I go about it? I think I could figure it out by myself, but I'm playing on ironman, so I don't want to mess anything up. I want to convert this game to EU4 once 1444 rolls around, and I don't want to get absolutely wrecked by the amount of religious revolts I'd get.

It's when you have no vassals above baron/priest/mayor tier. It gives you an ungodly amount of troops, but leaves you without all that much income due to the massive amounts of income you lose to the over demesne modifiers. Also, everyone in your realm despises you.

It shouldn't be too difficult to switch back to feudalism.

The demense negative relations modifier is temporary and will change once you go back to your normal limit. So if you pause, assign vassals to whatever lands you want to give, and resume when you're done, you should be fine. Furthermore, you don't have to care if the barons like you as they'll be someone else's problem from that point on.

Just keep in mind that because you'll be assigning so many vassals in one go you'll likely run out of eligible vassals. Not to mention if you don't manage to hand out enough to reset your negative relations, you'll still have problems. Furthermore, you'll want to avoid giving vassals too much power, though you probably already know this.

So resist the urge to hand out kingdom titles or duke titles that are too powerful.

At the end of the day not only will you get way more money, but your provinces wouldn't be utter garbage from the lack of development and the utter ludicrious chaos of the "poor stewardship" events.

Should I wait until the Mongols show up? I don't want to lose half my troops (though admittedly at this point I don't know how much of an issue that would be) before I face off an attritionless doomstack from one of my weakest fronts.

Let me see if I understand correctly: You own all the counties in your country, but want to give (almost) all of them away to create a patchwork feudal state full of ungrateful backstabbers?
If so, what you want to do, is
a) try to get all the minor nobles of your dynasty (using the dynasty window, accessible on your char view) to move to your court.
b) get a small amount of money.
c)invite some nobles (all at once- they will get more expensive, once your income isn't ~0), don't worry if you don't have enough money to get a noble for every county.
d) assign counties.
d.1) Promote especially capable (and reasonably young) barony holders- mineral planets church vassals are the best.
d.2) give counties to your dynasty members, including children and the elderly (unless they have non-dynasty heirs)
d.3) give counties to the people you invited.
d.4+) if you miscalculated the invited noble count (went lower), promote more barons.
e) unless you want to create a merchant republic (they're a great source of income once they get going, but very treacherous), destroy all but 2 duke titles you hold.
e+)if you do want a merchant republic, promote a coastal mayor and give him a duchy. (Any duchy will do, though he will be slightly more pissed if he doesn't hold any counties there)
That's it.
fake edit:Just in case this isn't obvious- this all happens while the game is paused.

Mongols show up with a ridiculous number of men, around 100,000 or so, a huge portion of which being horse archers, easily the best unit in the game.

There are also two of them. Second one is significantly larger than the first, and will also come through your lands. You have about 10 - 20 years before the first one arrives.

I had to use about... 120,000 men to fight off the first wave myself. And that one came really down to the wire too, where I managed to kill around 40,000 men at a river crossing. The second wave was significantly easier as I had about 300,000 men (my armies + mercenaries + holy orders + allies) at my disposal to fight them off. The biggest problem I had with fighting them was not the army size, though that was an issue, but that it took forever for me to muster my armies together from all corners of my empire. During that time, they were just trolling through the most pathetic holdings I had and raising the warscore up to scary levels. When the Aztecs invaded it was a piece of cake as they landed inside my lands next to all my major recruitment centers and on my best forts that take forever to siege.

I hope that gives you an idea of what you'll be facing.
