They had that teaser around Christmas time with the elephant, and there has been a lot of speculation on the Pdox forums that the next expansion would be one about India, so it might very well be that.

I killed my son but I had to imprison him to do so. I regretted doing it but for some reason he was of a different dynasty (possible mistake from Paradox), the game just started off that way.

I remember hearing once that one King of Scots whose name escapes me dealt with an infant claimant to his throne by having the child executed.

The King's executioner took the baby and smashed its head against a nobbled wooden pole, dashing out its brains in front of a crowd of people.

That certainly deterred any further claimants. CK2 would be a much darker game if it was more realistic.

Good thing CK2+ fixes all the stupid Paradox tries to force in. I can kill my kids all I want

I understand it being done (rarely mind you - I can't imagine public baby - killing being a regular occurence). But I think the way CK 2 handles things makes for a more playable game rather than which would be rather easy for Kings as when a vassal shows a whiff of dissent they can just imprison and execute them for free.

Perhaps it'd be nice if it were trait determined- an incentive to have a cruel character rather than a kind one.
