Code: [Select]
- Pagans now willing to accept cross-religion marriages with other pagans if it likes you enough
Whew, good. 'Will not marry an infidel' is the most annoying thing ever. It'd be nicer if it was with Christians/Muslims too like before, but pagan-pagan intermarriage is atleast something.

Enatic ?
And cool, I won't have to fight the ghanan band anymore as king of mali (the muslims always hired them), and it was the only mercenary band available.

I'm guessing female-first preference. Some mods already have it implemented, so I'm not sure what they've actually done here.

AI:
- Will not flip culture to Swedish, Danish or Norwegian culture if in a huge Norse empire
- Pagans now willing to accept cross-religion marriages with other pagans if it likes you enough
- Female rulers or heirs less likely to marry non-matrilineally, unless they really like you

I think I'll hold off loading my current save until I'm sure the patch is rolled out. These three will directly affect it...

I got that when trying to arrange marriage between an Old Norse character and a Reformed Norse character. Absolutely most annoying.

It was hard coded, so I wonder how they did that o.O

Well, I might be mistaken. I'm sure I've seen 'Enatic Succession' somewhere. Maybe it was just a renaming of something, then. Anyway, should be good for mods who want this.

I so want to do an enatic game now, though I wonder if there's still penalties if the kingdom is enatic or something like that.

Well, -10 for female ruler and -10 for female heir.

Enatic itself is only for mods, so I doubt Paradox changed anything in vanilla.

I bought the celtic themed DLCs. I don't know why I keep buying the aesthetic dlcs, the quality is pretty hit and miss. The units are bland and the men's faces look like beady eyed weasel men.

On a scale from Mediterranean to Mongol, how good are the faces?

Better than Mediterranean (not hard to beat that). I only played around for a short bit, so this is mostly a first impression.  Honestly if it wasn't for the beady eyes on the men it wouldn't be so bad. The men have some faces with odd proportions as well. The women seemed okay though from what I've seen so far.

Quote from: Patch

- Fixed bug where Arsenal building could be deleted on succession
- Fixed a bug where Crown Laws would not carry over into created kingdoms and empires
- Piety from buildings is now given to both the owner and his/her liege
- No longer possible to invite a concubine to your court
- Will now accept marriage offers for courtiers of the right religion, even if the ruler is of a hostile religion
- Added Enatic and Enatic-Cognatic Succession code support (laws not available without slight modding)
- Added liege_prestige, allowing buildings to give prestige to its owner and his/her liege
Sweet bug fixes, now I can actually enjoy the game again in regards to the second one.

I thought I'd take some screenshots of the new portraits so you guys can decide for yourselves. After looking more some of the new stuff is quite good. I like the portrait for the children a lot. The female portraits are seem relatively good as well with some new hair and clothing options.

The men are pretty hit and miss though. The new clothing, crowns and beards are pretty nice. The facial proportions on a lot of the guys feel pretty off though. Some of them are decent but there are a lot of weasely/effeminate looking men.

I took screenshots of the unit pack too. Disappointing. No changes to the councillors whatsoever. The units themselves are ok but a bit bland.

I always felt the weakest part to Republics was the lack of an actual economy system. Also in that trade port spam, as only one trade port can be built in each area for... some reason...

Totally. For me it's the weakest part of the game, really. I get they didn't want to focus on the economic side of things, but yeah. Still.

Yeah I guess I can see why they didn't want too, but it would've been nice if Republics wasn't just TRADE PORT SPAM. Maybe just build structures that represented trade goods or something. The whole way Trade Ports work though feels pretty lame, as it also means if your Doge starts with one in the capital, you're going to never get a full bonus until you can steal it from him.

I believe the way mods had been doing female-preferred successions was by using a trait similar to "Born in the Purple" that automatically puts a daughter over a male inheritor, or by giving males a trait that bans them from succession. With this, it means they can simply actually do it with the laws instead of trait juggling.
