Fabricate claims is the simplest to do.

You could marry and murder your way up the throne. Marry the third in line or lesser and murder the rest above them.

Finding claimants in simply click the de jure flag when selecting a province and from there, click claimants if there are any.

Any benefit to putting people outside you lineage into counties/duchies/thrones? I know that relatives become your vassals, but what about others?

If you put someone who likes you on a throne, they'll be unlikely to attack you while they live, letting you focus elsewhere.

When you press claims in a war? If they're de jure vassals of a title you already have or have an existing higher title in your realm, you get them as well. Otherwise, not really.

In one of my games, I put a baron on the king level title. He now rules the kingdom from a barony. The old king still has most of his land. Be careful on what title your pushing.

If you've married so where the claimant's children will be of your dynasty, I'm pretty sure you could set it up for your family to inherit the place.

Tarran has the "Tarran Bug", a bug which causes the affected character to repeatedly hit teammates while dual-wielding instead of whatever the hell he is shooting at.

The man with claim problems: spend all your money and wives on inviting the best diplomat in the realm to your court. I got a spymaster with 21 intrigue, that gives me 20-30% chance of everything.

That's odd. But he did get all the de jure vassals the old king had in the kingdom?

Yeah, visibly he claimed the Kingdom title, but no other.

Also, you get a +100 relation modifier when you push someone's claim, so it's easy to vassalize them afterward.

How do you check the current Crown Authority laws in your kingdom? There's a faction that wants to lower the authority, and I'm thinking if it's worth it.

It's found in the laws screen which you can access with the gavel button at the top of the screen.

Also, it's hardly worth it to change it on your own tos atisfy them: it's going to use up a law change while if you wait for them to confront you about it you can change it "for free".

As emperor I made all of my sons kings. I then proceeded to die a decade earlier than I expected to leaving my infant son on the throne.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

I have a feeling I will be an only child soon, otherwise things might get a little messy...

Christ Thor Almighty, I just had a total shitfuck with the current game.
Through the use of gold I liberated from Northern shores of France and Frisia, I hired a merc band to deal with the Count of Desmond. Before that, I dealt with Count of Kildare, who was too young to rule - wasn't hard at all. Reason why I didn't take Desmond straight away was because he had Earl of Tyroll as his ally, which was a little bit scary, considering how that ally of his was closer than the usual kings of Navarra or whatever. Anyway, I took Desmond, and I had to give two counties to two of my sons because of demesene size. Considering how I'm going for the Duchy of Munster, though, those poor inland counties weren't a big loss.
Do dukes get bigger demesene size? Or can I appoint some peeps as counts in my Duchy? More so, if I'm a count, with King of Scotland as my liege, can I become a duke and rule my duchy?
