The "lower crown authority in Sweden" faction took up arms and fought King Bo I of Sweden. After years of fighting, it ends in a white peace. 2 months later, King Bo I of Sweden tries to increase the crown authority to "high."

Cynical, sloth, greedy, proud, and... Kind. His diplomacy is 0, martial 4, stewardship and intrigue 3, and learning 4. This guy sucks, no wonder there's a pile of "X for Sweden" factions.

So obviously he was greedy for more power, thought they would be upset no matter what, and proud enough of his army that he thought he would win next time. He was also too lazy and too nice to take it by force, so he decided to take it by law.

Seems pretty logical (for a king) actually.

If we throw away the part that he's an unfeeling AI for a second, from his eyes, he fought the response that would occur if he became more tyrannical. And stalemated. So there's no reason why he shouldn't just go all the way.

Of course, if he was a human dictator, he would have used his newfound powers to strip off everything from all his opponents too.

Real life example: "I'll take all this extra taxes I would have earned from the uncaring nobles and landowners... and give them to you! The good, brave and strong-willed soldiers! Fight for me and we can bring equality to all!"

In-game example: "Raise power to max, raise all the levies, banish every single noble".

After I finished the plot (without the help of those guys :() their plot value fell way, way down. It's still unbelievably high but it fell a lot.

Hey hey, just because Ulf is a bastard doesn't mean he should be burned. He's a kind reality bending monster, you should leave him be.

Feel free to burn Sten though. Yeesh, look at those sins. Almost as bad as the 7-sin one I had/have in my game.

Alright, this is weird. I set my small arsenal to be built in the capital city and a week later it just stops. No message, 200 gold down the drain, it just stops. This has eaten 600 gold already and I'm not feeding it more. Am I the victim of super discreet sabotage or is this a bug?

I'm not sure why that thing with the super high plot powers occurs, but I see it all the time. It sort of makes sense when I'm plotting against infants in my own court, but otherwise-  :-\
