Why? What's wrong?

Tarran has the "Tarran Bug", a bug which causes the affected character to repeatedly hit teammates while dual-wielding instead of whatever the hell he is shooting at.

From reading the last page and a half, I'd say that the DLCs like Ruler Creator and Sword of Islam don't work on the Steam version.  So I'm glad I didn't buy them, because I have the Steam version.  And I thanked Allah instead of God because I was talking about the Muslim expansion: Sword of Islam.

I think you'll find the massive majority of steam users have no problem at all using the DLC, especially since steam is such a major platform for Paradox.

Unfortunately, I don't have the testimony of "the majority of Steam Users", only the testimony of Johnfalcon and Rilder.  So, I'll go with what I hear, thanks.  :P

I'm using the Steam version, and I've had no problems.

I have had absolutely no problems with either of them. Also if its working just fine, then people obviously don't really talk about it going just fine, while if it isn't working, then you complain about it and try to get it fixed.

(You may be being a little sarcastic or something based on your smiley, sadly I am a bit too tired to tell, and as such assume that you are being 100% serious).

I had problems with the DLC recently (it not showing up), but it was all solved by verifying the cache which took... 10-20 minutes tops to redownload and reinstall, even though I had all the DLC. No problems otherwise. And I've been playing it for a decent amount of time.

Cool, glad to hear its working for most people.  Thanks for the encouragement.

Of course, the real reason I haven't bought the DLCs remains: I'm cheap.  I was just poking fun at how my cheapness might have saved me some anxiety.  Plus I'm tired.

I too have ruler designer(got it in a sale yay!) and no problem so far.
And for the cheap argument, those dlcs are definitely worth some money, but imho not 15€, so i suggest to wait until a wild sale appear, then snatch them...

See, when people use things and they work, people don't tend to complain about them or even mention them. I have the game and all DLC on steam, it all works just fine.

If folks are having DLC problems ie: its not showing up,
verify game files/cache will solve that.

Also: Once you make an empire the game becomes ridiculously easy it would seem. -Made empire of Britannia by 1330 by starting as an irish duke, only used ruler designer for first ruler, played straight since-

Anyway, back on topic: Hey guys, guess what my William did this game? He became a king.

Not of England, mind you. He became the King of FRANCE instead. ;D Fricking William the Bastard is the King of France instead of England. The year is 1099.

Maybe in three hundred years you can start a war for your claim on the Kingdom of England.

I'm pretty sure if William doesn't control England then he lost the War for the Kingdom of England. The only way he could still have the claim is if Norway won.

What claim? I'm Aragon. William is AI controlled.
