Dafuq. I should have the Sword of Islam and Ruler Desginer DLC, but they are not showing up in the "select DLC" screen. Whats happening?

If you have the game on Steam, it's a known problem. Verifying the integrity of your game cache should fix it.

Wow... I didn't know neutral attached armies would fight you along with your enemies. I'm at war with the HRE, right? And neutral with Croatia, right?

Well, they're both at war with a third party, and Croatia's army is attached to the HRE's army. So guess what happens?

Croatia, supposedly neutral, directly assists the HRE's army in combat when it attacks my army.

I really wish I could declare direct war on Croatia too for this situation. Assholes. I won't be sparing anyone I capture from them.

Edit: Also, something weird is happening...

Some duke of mine is repeatedly imprisoning the same poor baron, again and again and again, and releasing him. I think he's done it at least 6 times, because his relations are -300 for imprisonment...

Eventually, though, he got tired of that shit and declared war. Unfortunately, nobody joined him, and he's a baron. Poor dude.

Tarran has the "Tarran Bug", a bug which causes the affected character to repeatedly hit teammates while dual-wielding instead of whatever the hell he is shooting at.

Edit: Oh, that "Select DLC" screen... Uh... I dunno. Try launching the game and seeing if they are there regardless.

Nape. It acts like I never had the DLC ever.

Exactly the same as American.

If the game is on Steam (a digital distribution client) right click on the game, go to proprieties, local files, verify integrity of game cache. It calls back to the master server and downloads any lost files. It's usually the first thing people try when a game isn't working on Steam. Occasionally it can copy over manual patches, mods and the like so you should be careful when you use it if you have those installed.

It's an option in the games... Whatever-windows. See, this is why I hate having the language set to Swedish, because I can't explain the technical words to people.

Anyway.

Right click on Crusader Kings in your Steam library
Choose the lowest-most option (possibly "settings", but I'm not certain what the English word is)
Go to "Local Files"

There should be a "verify game cache something" option there.

For some reason, when it comes to the possible inheritance of Kingdoms, A lot of supicious accidents tend to happen.

Hmm Steam seems to have broken my DLC, again.

Steam: Yes you do in fact own Sword of Islam, and we have verified your content to ensure that it is in fact there.
CK2 DLC Folder: Yes Sir, Sword of Islam is here.
CK2 Launcher, Yep, we are reading full contact with Sword of Islam.
CK2 Itself: Bitch you don't have Sword of Islam, what you talking bout foo?

I may have to go back to a certain acquired copy of CK2 I have laying around, heh.

Verify the integrity of game cache see if that works. If it doesn't; run the game without steam (Paradox doesn't use Steam DRM). If that doesn't work delete the DLC folder and rerun the verify. Finally if that doesn't work send a support ticket to Steam and hope you get a reply before modern society collapses.

You did read my post right?

And yes I have run it several times both from steam and directly from the folder. I'm going to do a quick reinstall and see if that changes anything. (Thank Gods Paradox is actually sensible about the size of their games and is only a gig so won't require too much of a time investment)

So, are there any good Norse mods? Vikings are always fun.

And to think I was actually thinking of buying Ruler Maker and Sword of Islam for my Steam version of CK2.  Thank Allah I didn't make that mistake!
