Also, I have been trying out this mod. So far, its like if you took everything that currently exists in Crusader kings, and added a thousand more of it. A thousand new states, a Thousand new De Jure Kingdoms, a thousand new Religons and Heresies, a Thousand new cultures, ect.

And they are all in a complete cluster fuck.

Actually, you can play Pagan in Lux Invicta. I just tried it out.

Screw everything, the game of thrones mod is awesome. I can even play as a wildling, pretty hard to keep order as a wildling though, everybody hates me. The black watch hates me, the kingdoms south of the wall hates me, the other wildlings hates me, my wife and son hates me. This will be glorious

Ok still learning the basics here but what is up with this? I was just playing normal CKII without mods as count something or other from Jämtland. I declared a holy war on Norrland to see if I could grab some territories to create a more useful title for myself. Anyways I had captured Ångermanland and Västerbotten and was working on Lappland when two finnish chiefs declared that they were joining their swedish pagan brothers against me. Anyways, no problem I thought, those chiefs were in central Finland, how the hell are they going to... BAM instant 1000 strong army appears in Västerbotten. Now they have no navy so how the heck did they manage to get there?

So there is no such thing as a 'landbridge' or something then? Damn they must have boats then, but I was sure I didn't see any ships. My eyes be playing tricks on me. Anyways reloaded to an earlier save because I had no way to deal with an army that strong.

I love the intrigues in this game, building up a network of claims just by marrying the right people and plotting to the right and left. One thing I noticed that annoys me a bit, but I think this is pretty much a standard in Paradox games, the dance dance armylution. I was playing earlier and got into a war, I only had one army available though but it was a lot stronger than my enemy. Problem was he refused to engage and we enacted a beautiful rendition of the running man over three provinces, me chasing his army and him constantly running away. As soon as I stopped to siege something he started marching on my capitol which forced me to go after him which lead to him running away etc. I swear I was humming the Benny Hill music while playing.

Yes but they are not as developed as the christian and muslim factions. That is where mods come in

Anyways, this game is almost as bad as Dwarf Fortress in the sociopath department. My grand ruler, the duke of Jämtland, Norrland and Uppland is a real hounddog, spitting out sons to the left and right, I wish I could get more daughters right now instead of four bloody sons. This has meant that when my aging leader dies my nice little piece of earth will be split between three of my sons of which my main heir gets the damn least of it all...
I managed to get rid of one of my sons when I sent him to preach in Lappland in a little church all of his own (which apparently means he is not eligible for succession.) but my other three sons have split the titles between them. Now I am seriously considering murdering two of my  sons so my real heir can have it all, unless this means those titles go to fuck knows where since only my main heir has any children of his own... this is quite hilarious.

I also have a bunch of titles to give out now since I managed to win a holy war against a swedish heathen king when he was busy fighting against some other guy from Skåne who also claims to be a Swedish king (this was what got me the Duchy of Uppland.) and this put me way above my demesne limit, now I have to figure out who I can give some stuff to who won't betray my heir when I die.

Who said being a family man was easy...
