As Navarra, I've finally driving out every  Muslim from Iberia except in Mauretanian Seville (and I'm just waiting for decadence to do its job and weaken them before I strike, already took back lower Galicia from them). Now the Fatimids called a Shia Jihad at my Andalucia.

I'm scared.

I think I've run to an... odd bug. I called a Grand Tournament that has gone on for over three years already. The winners were all proclaimed early on and now I'm just getting a constant trickle of 'Your guest killed/maimed during the tournament!' popups. This might be good if all the tournament events I keep getting weren't negative.

Well, anyway, inherited Aragon as Duke of Barcelona with the best king ever - everywhere I look, I see vassals with 100 relations. Even more amazing, all of my BROTHERS love me, even the bastards and half-brothers. This must be the first time ever for me, so bizarre.

This happens to me all the time.

Yup, that's a known bug. There seems to be some trouble with that event so that it never "closes" correctly, so any other event that can happen will still be possible to happen. It's just a matter of time before all those events that never closes will happen to all those who was on the tournament.

Started a game off as a small timer in Ireland like I always do. Took over Ireland fairly easily, and was planning on taking over Wales, then England so I could make Britannia... when I notice that the plot of land I gave my husband is now Englands! I freak out, and then realize that I married my ruler to a random prince of England, who was 4th in the line for the throne, and the other 3 died. Right now, my ruler is Queen of Ireland, Wales, and Brittany. My Heir is currently King of England, and his wife is Queen of Denmark. They already have a son! I figure in about 80 years I will have The Empire of Britannia, which will consist of Brittany, Ireland, England, Denmark, Wales, and Scotland (I will claim it... hehehe). This will be less than 150 years since the game started.

Holy crap, talk about luck, inheriting England in it's entirety without even trying.

Wow, impressive work. I could never figure out how to manipulate inheritance laws like that.

I started a game as Leon last night. Right off, muslim attack. Castille had done a bit to piss me off in the first few months but I'd already joined in on their side to fight off the invaders. Slowly managed to retake all of my counties for myself. Married early to a young princess of Navarra, although my first child was a bastard daughter that I legitimized. Wife wasn't too happy as she was also pregnant and gave birth just a few weeks later.

Castille ended up losing the war against the muslims without losing much land in the process. I took the chance to strike while she was weak, taking her land easily even having to fend of Aragon, Navarra, and Galicia. Mercenaries helped and while I cut it pretty close budget wise, I ended up finishing the war before anything major happened. Couple more daughters, one more bastard daughter to a different mother(Wife of a count in the former Castille area). (Wife ended up plot killing the first mistress.)

Galicia's king dies, leaving it to his daughter. I start a plot to kill her off while also looking around. So far, my sister is dead, by Galicia brother is dead, my Castillian brother is reduced to a lowly duke. He hates me already and it doesn't take long for him to rebel. I crush him easily and imprison him. Realizing my fortune I execute him. Yeah, kinslayer and all that, but with that, I'm the last of the family... other than my mother. Once Galicia's young queen is dead, it defaults back to my extremely elderly mother. She's not happy with me obviously, but hell, she dies a couple of years later, in the middle of a war, giving me about half a Galicia, the other half to muslim occupiers. Navarra(Wife ran back there after I caught her trying to kill ME) and Aragon are pissed, pissed enough they won't even help me against the Muslims anymore.

So currently I'm nearly broke and fighting an army of muslims 3 times as big as anything I can muster without mercenaries.

This will take some thought, if I can even survive it. My daughter(s) might have better luck, it's hard to say.

The thing is... I didn't do any manipulating. I was picking out a husband, and it just so happened that one with good stats was the 4th in line for England.

You know, when the Golden Horder and Ilkhanate showed up, I was really worried at first because I was rather close to the east edge of the map. I realized they were shit when they thought it would be a better idea to kill eachother then actually do what they were suppose to do. I also had 30,000 more men then they did by the end of the 13th century, so it was really nothing to worry about.

I actually lost in the initial war to the Ilkhanate as my world-spanning empire because they were smart enough to focus on assaultng and I couldn't get my armies to the front fast enough while in the middle of a war with the HRE. Luckily the truce didn't last long before they declared war on me despite having armies at the border, but they were pretty smart in their movements, and even though they only lasted for less than 5 years I think the AI put up a good fight.
Edit to not double post:
I would have done it a few years earlier if the Golden Horde hadn't arrived when I was finishing off Cumania, but now there is but one nation under Islam in the civilized world.

Reminds me of the time that I married my third son to a younger daughter of the emperor as a count (in an earlier patch where they were less reluctant to do that.)  She was fifth or sixth in line for the secession.  Then a war and rash of disease wiped out the imperial family leaving her the last one standing.  Glorious.

I started as the Duke of Barcelona in the CK+ Mod. Several generations later, I've killed the Kings of Navarra and Aragorn, taken a single duchy of Muslim land in Barcelona, and I claimed Castille for myself under King Miró. The Castillian Queen, a cruel tyrant, continually aligns herself with people who are rebelling against me, and I have fought five wars with her as Miró's successor, his first daughter and lover who produced 2 inbred children with him. For some reason, I bugged out the Papacy by marrying someone de Barcelona to the Pope's heir, and now all of the Popes are de Barcelona. This is going to bite me in the back, as the heir to Galicia, which has shrunk considerably but still manages to field huge armies, is the second in line to the Papacy, and the first in line is old and dying. People disapprove of my Queen as she is unfaithful, lustful, and not the de Jure liege of most of her lands. Leon is the only Iberian country stronger than me, which controls most of Leon and Galicia in the northwest. My Queen is plagued with constant rebellions, and recently lost a province to the Muslims. On the bright side, I am the largest contributor to the Second Crusade besides the Pope, and my inbred son is set to become King of Jerusalem.
