Yeah, some of my characters have had affairs with their wives.

They were quite angry about it when they found out.

I had that issue playing the demo where every time I went to a feast my wife would make advances on me, the options were to either retreat to somewhere private with her or say, "But we're both married!"...

You can no longer make Muslims playable just by changing a line in the religion file.

I've added a flag to scripted dynasties: "divine_blood = yes". This will disable the incest restrictions for the dynasty and make members actually prefer inbreeding, though at a high risk of giving the "lunatic" trait to offspring. This should help a certain mod based on a popular series of novels.

Fully makes up for it.

Unfortunately, yes, yes, it is.  The main irritant is that they didn't want it to be OP, so they over-balanced it to the point of being not worth using.  There's a specific mini-mod that takes off the limits, but I haven't tried it.

Still, you end up creating a tiny isolated family that's completely detached from the rest of the gameworld - which may or may not be the kind of grassroots start you want to play.  Any it's something you can only use at the beginning of the game... which for a campaign that takes tens of hours, is almost insignificant.

So yeah, kinda a really limited DLC.

The queen consort of scotland keeps going to war against her husband (she inherited the duchy of Lothian at some point). Just happened for what must be the third time. They battle it out for a while, a few thousand men die pointlessly on the moors, then they go back to being all chummy again. She's even pregnant.

My wife has basically kidnapped my kids, thus making sure I couldn't marry or educate them and can't get them out of the succession (I had a magnificent plan to throw bishoprics at them). My son will inherit her duchy if she dies, so that won't help, and they have pretty much perfect relations with their mother so they won't accept an invite.

I guess I'm doomed to a fractured realm. And this just after an almost fully AI-controlled (!) crusade got me the entire remaining de jure Kingdom of Jerusalem.

I was the duke of Capua in my Naples game. I married the Duchess of Bosnia. My children were in her court and Croatian. So I did what I had to do, or else I wouldn't be able to form Naples.

Assassinated her, her kids, and then married a hot young 16 year old Occitan woman.

Is it possible to disable updates? I don't play Muslims, but just on principle.

You cannot play the patched Muslims.

You can mod the Muslims back to prepatch (changing their tag from Muslim to Mulsim or so) and you can mod to play as them again.
You can even play with them and have multiple wives without buying the DLC.
