Did you register your game? Have to register the CK2 serial key on the forums to get access to the modding forums.

Okay, this is interesting.

You guys know the event when being the guardian of a child where your child insults someone?

Well, somehow, for some reason, my daughter managed to target herself for the insults.

Yes, this means that somehow, my 11 year old daughter insulted herself so bad that she somehow nearly knocked me down, a full grown man, possibly in heavy armor because I'm leading troops. And then she says that she called her fat again. And if I tell her that she's right and she is fat, she'll both gain relations with me and lose relations with me. Plus she'll gain honest.

This is... weird. Oh well.

((New game as Cherson, by the way. Not the Bavaria game, I got a little too tired with it))

Edit: Dammit! My son with base 10/10/10/7/9 stats, and great attributes including Strong, died a "NATURAL DEATH" at 24! He had over 20 Martial while he lived and average-above average stats in everything else! Argh, what the hell!

Edit2: AHAHAHAHAHA oh YES! I captured the Khan of the Cumans by catching his demoralized 700 strong army with my 300 strong army after I was bankrupt! I, a four county duke, won a holy war against the Cumans! with help from another duke and a count, but still, 2-1 or more odds, and I WON!

Edit3: Okay, really? I just had a son die a natural death at age 4? Game, what the hell. He's not my main heir, but still, what the hell.

Edit4: *Facepalm* When dealing with the prisoners from the war with the khan, I released the khan himself instead of his worthless courier. I missed a chance of 245 gold once he got it. Arrrgh... And there's no saves before I start dealing with the prisoners.

Yeah, some of my characters have had affairs with their wives.

They were quite angry about it when they found out.

I registered on Paradox's forums and everything, but this link still isn't working (I don't have permission? O.o) and I can't find information on this mod anywhere else. Could someone provide a feature list and download not related to Paradox's convoluted and retarded forums?

Edit: Never mind. Apparently I had to register my game. Kinda dumb.

I don't think so. It's a bonus service they only offer to paying customers, because they think the carrot works better than the stick when it comes to piracy and DRM.

As you may know, Paradox games have a wonderful tradition of allowing conversion into the next game, though these days they're just fan projects. They seem to have released a working CK2-to-EU3 converter, so I've decided to start a conversion game megacampaign.

The EU3-to-Vicky converter seems to be Revolutions-only, which I don't have, so I'll have to buy Vicky 2. Oh well. I also can't locate a Vicky2-to-HoI2 converter so I probably won't continue it there.

In any case, I'm here for ideas! I may even make an AAR out of it!

World conquest, while easy with 800+ years to work with, is very dull for AAR purposes, so I'll probably set down my own in-character nefarious guidelines and goals. But who should I play? Starting as a lowly count seems best for such a long time period, preferably one in an interesting position for the future.

A few ideas:
Unite an area and make it culturally homogeneous. Personally I'd go with Wales and be based around retaking England, preventing the defeat of Brittany by France, and other stuff.
Make Europe Norse/Orthodox/Muslim.
Take control of every future CoT. Venice, Lübeck, etc.
Be the greatest centre of learning to ever exist.

The anti-piracy measures aren't dumb (Carrots are delicious), just the way that they were vague and didn't explicitly tell me what the problem was when I was trying to figure it out. It did tell me that it could have been a problem, among other things, but it didn't occur to me that the Mods forum would be exclusive to people who've registered for the game, so I had been busy fiddling with the other things it could have been. Partly my fault, but a bit of clarity would have gone a long way.

I personally I have never been able to register my EU3 complete keys from steam on the Paradox Forums. I know I can contact support about it but that seems like a rather excessive step as far as I'm concerned. Although I personally like the forums for modding being locked down for unregistered peeps as long as there's a secondary slow mirror when I can't be bothered or cannot sign in.

Personally I have a problem in that I have never been able to post on the branch forums of eu3 because my eu3 key is on the wrong account. Have every expansion registered, too.

Playing as the Cumans is pretty cool. Russia is being absorbed by the Volga Bulgars so I hopped in on the fun and gained a county. Ag-Cog Gavelkind makes succession pretty interesting, and due to blackmail I've had my crown authority reduced enough where vassals can fight each other. 3 of my duchies are fighting each other, which is fine, except that the Bulgar Beylerbeylik just kicked the bucket and a duchy that I can usurp has declared independence. Of course, the beloved Khaan Saru just died and his tyrant son has taken over. I don't even know how he's a tyrant, but it's probably because I banished my rival after he tried to take over the Khanate. Everybody in my council except for my wife hates me, so I'll probably get assassinated soon. My king's stats are absolutely terrible, mostly 1s. The Byzantines are taking over the Pechenegs and Alania took over the Beydoms south of them. Georgia is pretty weak after their king got imprisoned. After they destroy Russia, I have a feeling the Bulgars are going to attack me next. And being Tengrii, I can't get a Holy War CB because pagans don't have them. Fun times.

The CK2 to EU3 converter is very much in incomplete right now and probably won't result in anything playable.

I am aware, but it's not like I'll be using it right now anyhow. I'm just taking ideas for when I eventually do this.

Damn, this game is out to get me on children, my rulers, and succession.

At the start of the game, my oldest, and best son had base stats of 10/10/10/7/9. He died a "Natural" death at 24 before he ascended the throne.

So, it passes on to my second son. Who's first daughter died in childbirth. Darn. So, I get another some time afterwards. Then, of course, my king decides to fall over and die at 39 from a 'natural death' yet again.

Which leaves it to my 2 year old daughter... which didn't exactly have a very good reign until she had smote all who opposed her. Her attributes weren't all that great, unfortunately. She did become a Midas Touched, though.

Then at 19, with her FIRST CHILD, she dies. The child is another girl.

Now, you've got to be crazy if you think I'm not savescumming after that. Because that's just crap after what I've already gone through. Jesus, game, throw me a bone here.
