I can't help that they're killing another though, as I'm at Medium Crown Authority and they're still fighting. I think it might be because their duchies are both part of the kingdom of Germany, which is likely down very low on Crown Authority. No matter, eventually they will assimilate into the kingdom of Bavaria with it's Medium Crown Authority.

Anyway, I thought vassals kept a portion of their levy in their castle that only you could use? I seem to remember when I was a vassal of the HRE, I had part of my levy bar red on my own, personally controlled baronies. And I think even when they were fighting, I still raised men from them.

That is correct. Of course, I believe you still get more from them depending on how much they like you. Regardless, you wouldn't have been able to raise all their (non-set aside) men for your own sake anyway, but they can. So they're doing more damage to your enemy than you could, which is a good thing.

The % of the levies you can raise from your vassal depends on your crown laws and how much they like you, but I still see them all as the king's soldiers. Even if they're not raised, they prolong a siege on the province and they suck up population to replenish. That's why I hate when my vassals fight each other using MY men.

Now I just have to try that, as Hungary is such a megapower in my game. I'm currently married to kings daughter so if every else dies she should become queen right? Any tips how to assasinate all other heirs as petty duke with lots of money?

Yeah, Hungary is a superpower pretty much in my all games. If you assassinate all the other heirs she will become the first heir. If the king is old enough he won't be creating problems by making new heirs so you should be fine.

Try to get the best spymaster. Search for the best and try to invite them to your court. If they don't like their leige it will be easy to get them. You may have to bribe them so they like you enough. You have a high chance of failing if you don't have enough Intrigue so be ready for the -10 relationship hit. If your realm isn't stable I'd suggest you to wait until things get calmer.

You can conquer half the game world (the Christian half, at least) within the lifetime of your first character if you exploit marrying off your sons and daughters to heirs of all the kingdoms. In the cases of agnatic succession you can even remarry the same daughter to someone else after you off her husband and her son and inherit the title for yourself.

It's funny to start as a small time count somewhere and go inherit the HRE, France, Denmark, England, Scotland, and all the little kingdoms in Spain (aragon, navarra, etc) just by marrying into the families and murdering everyone until your grandson inherits, then murdering the grandson so that it passes back to you. The fact that the 2nd heir will marry matrilineally just because you invite him to court (and he comes because he hates his daddy due to the pretender thing) is a bit silly and infinitely exploitable. All you have to do is invite him over, marry him to a daughter, off his brother so that he's in line for the throne, wait for a grandson, off the current king, off the son, off the grandson - bam. Four assassination plots and just about any kingdom on the map is yours.

It's only fun once, though - after that it just gets silly. So I go back to playing "normally" and conquering the world the old fashioned way.

On a slightly different note, Crusader Kings II is the first game that's rewarded me for slaying my homosexual son. I'm sure that's some kind of achievement.

Sorry that came out overly agressive. Had way too much Steam User Forums than a single man can bare.

Just saying that's been bought up quite a lot and I think there's even been some Let's Plays using the mod linked as well. I think it's fair that's been quite a lot of coverage of the mod in this thread although I guess a small mod list couldn't hurt the OP at all.

Lots of somewhat subtle tweaks is what it is. Most of them are arguably good tweaks.

I registered on Paradox's forums and everything, but this link still isn't working (I don't have permission? O.o) and I can't find information on this mod anywhere else. Could someone provide a feature list and download not related to Paradox's convoluted and retarded forums?
