I do have ONE question about Iberia, which you MIGHT be able to answer.

Are those Muslim names for Iberian de jure kingdoms, or are they from somewhere else that expanded to Iberia?

I'm pretty sure those are muslim names for de jure kingdoms. But I'm not completely sure.

Also, the Ilkhanate just beat Lithuania and took all of Lithuania's Rus territories (for reference, Galich is the extent of territories they took).

What's scary is that Lithuania could raise the same amount of men as the HRE can. And still they had allies. And they still lost.

I'm scared, the Ilkhanate is getting frighteningly close to the HRE. And if they beat Lithuania again, I don't think the HRE is going to fair much better...

Edit: Golden Horde is here. They're allied with the Ilkhanate's leader. God save us all. -Nevermind, they went poof for some reason.

Edit2: A Pagan Finland has formed! And Ireland has taken Scotland's Irish, English, French, and Norwegian territories. Also, Ilkhanate continues to be amazingly scary. The original khan had a prestige of 11.2K, and the new one has 4K at age 25.

And so upon the fields of Middlesex, under the shadow of his new Large Keep, Duke Eadric Eadricson Aelfricson of Oxford & Kent routed an nearly equal sized army of his King, once again proving that YOU DO NOT REVOKE MY CAPITAL!

EDIT: NVM I cant read lol, the Ilkhanate AND the golden horde? Thank god the GH went broke, a strong GH is the bane of just about everything east of the HRE.

I started a new campaign with a mod that allows me to control pagan territories. I started with angermanland, which is north of Sweden and proceeded to conquer Sweden with my "mighty norse armies", aka mercenaries. Being a pagan makes it remarkably easy to take over territories with the excuse of "Bow down to Odin you pathetic peasants". I now have an entirely Norse Sweden and am currently turning my attention to Sweden's former allies, those quivering Norwegian dogs. "Hello King Skulle III, I hope you enjoy rotting in my prison just like your father, and your father's father.

In my game, you don't even need the GH. The Ilkhanate is already smashing every single thing east of the HRE. They're only one or two provinces east of the HRE! They completely ignored the middle east!

It is a fun game. It is less 'playable', but most older games are.
Bad things about it (imo)
-Smaller map, misses parts of Arabia, Scandinavia, Siberia and Ethiopia
-Few map modes, and bordering nations can have the same colour on the map.
-Infamy instead of tyranny, leading to your vassals hating you for waging holy wars.
-Agnatic Cognatic (Semi-salic) works odd. If your eldest child is a daughter, her son will be your heir instead of your eldest son.
-No family trees.
-Absolutely no reason to land family members, only siblings/children see you as their family.
-No empires, Bohemia always gets independent once it forms it's kingdom
-Alliance are between nations and you have a max of two or so. Might be based on a stat.
-No councillor jobs

An awesome game nonetheless though!

edit: Things in the original but not in the CKii:
-Jewish Khazars.
-Women as councillors.
-AI seems to know when to swear fealty as a duke instead of just basing it on de jure kingdoms.
-Indirect vassals are shown on the map.

Ignored the Arabs huh? Yeah, the HRE could be in trouble unless the Kaiser calls in his allies. On a side note I don't think I've ever seen an entirely Islamic Spain, or seen Scotland get such a William Wallace hard-on and decide to take their war for FREEEEEDOOOOM all the way to Norway and France.

I did that once with Ireland. If that counts.

-Women as councillors.
Actually possible in the second too, under very specific circumstances. I think they either have to be your wife, or have to have the ambition to take a position. Possibly both.
I appointed one of my wives as spymaster, both because it was possible, but also because she was pretty damn good at it. She had the ambition as well.

It might only be for spymaster though.

In vanilla, your wife or mother can be your spymaster. In CK1, any woman could be any position but marshal. It's reasonable to say in CK2 vanilla (compared to CK1) women cannot be councilors.

Yah, it sounds like minecraft with content, you have obviously missed the point, people dont like content, they like different coloured blocks.
Seems to work fine with my copy. As soon as I loaded the human caravan came by and the world burst into fire.

Would anyone be interested in trying a multiplayer game?

William Wallace is not in the game. Apparently Paradox didn't think one of the most important parts of Scottish history didn't deserve to be in the game. Scotland and England aren't even at war at the time period nor is there even rebels.

Would anyone be interested in trying a multiplayer game?

Has the multiplayer been fixed since previous Paradox games? I remember trying to playing EU3 multiplayer but didn't like how only the host only had control over pause/speed. I thought it really needed the Defcon style of controlling game speed. Where anyone can set the time they want and the slowest value wins.

In makes sense to me that women can be spy masters. It's a "secret" postion after all. I suppose it should really be based of what inheritance laws you have in place. If woman have the same claims as men it makes sense they could also be allowed in the council. Although that would only be the Basque culture that would have this feature.

I just realized raising my own kids is a great way to get the traits I want.

And my new king married a genius with a diplomatic skill of 30. Everyone suddenly loves my kingdom. :D

The problem with that is that if you ever want to kill her off, nobody will side with you.
