You might be able to bypass it by killing the game process, so it cannot save, I think. Didn't try, though.

Oh my motherfucking lord, that event. I ragequitted once because my regent stole seven(!!!) counties, lowered the crown authority from high to minimal(!!!!) in one character. And he seduced my underage king character's mother.
I couldn't raise the authority when the kid grew up, either.
I mean, it's basically like blinding, castrating and banishing someone at the same time, while taking his mother, sister and daughter as concubines.

Sometimes the regent is deposed and swapped for another. The last time I was in regency this happened about three or four times. Fortunately, none of those regents actually did anything, so I guess I got lucky.

Yeah, regents BS is one of the reason I don't play CK2 in ironman. You shower your regent with gold, land, titles, he has 100+ opinon of you and you have the best traits available ? He'll still lower Crown authority from Max to Min in 6 month, take your gold and land.
Have designated a regent with content trait or get lucky and have a content regent ? He'll be changed after 2 months, tops.
Even your motherfucking MOTHER as a regent can screw you up.

Regency is like Decadence for me : it's simply too badly designed in this game.

To be honest I was being a bit of a sore loser b/c it would have been hard for me to get that county back and I wanted direct control of all of Wales, but now that you've told me it can happen MULTIPLE times, I'm glad I did.

And it wasn't on Ironman, 1) Because you can't avoid random bullshittery like that, and 2) You can't use the ruler designer, and I am doing a Jewish Wales from scratch (earliest start, single county.)

I wish you could do the achievements non-ironman. Some kind of thing which disables the ability to use game-effecting console commands (so you can still use things like nextsong) so you can't cheat them all into unlocking.

I want the damned achievements, but I don't like ironman because random shit can irreversibly happen AND the monthly saves are irritating. Especially once you get far enough in that the saves take longer than a few moments.

+1. Also, the same thing happened again, my leader became incapable, the same person became regent (even though I designated someone else) and yet again he took one of my titles. Quit again, will return later.
