He obviously hates himself.

Fairly new Duchess, but, already 40 years old.  Father is a bastard who lived far too long.  Died around 65.  Groundwork to make a Kingdom is set and just need other requirements.  Age 45, met requirements.  Literally dies as I was clicking around trying to find the create kingdom button.

So, is there a retire character button?  Or should I be creative and send em on suicide missions?  Cause living too long is a bad thing when your eldest living child is 40 by the time you croak.

The Pagan/Norse are broken, so much loot.

I strongly suspect there is some sort of detection algorithm for when you try to get your player character killed that secretly pumps up their health stats. Because when you start sending them out on suicide missions, that's when your maimed, ill, 70 year old king will live on to at least 80.

If you are rich enough you could simply start sending out assassins to whoemver you don't like. They'll occasionally retaliate, specially if they are rulers themselves. Alternatively, you can start the old banish dance to become the most hated ruler in the map. Hell, break a few truces while you are at it, if you believe you can handle the wars. People will end going after your char fast enough. :P

Yup, Pagans are op, except for WA. Though the AI doesn't know how to use (nor how to fight) defensive religion opness.

A) Why didn't you pause?

B) Click on a province, on the middle-left of the provincial screen is the duchy and kingdom it belongs to. Click on the kingdom, it'll take you to the screen you create the kingdom on.

Also, when you have the requirements (excluding cash), a top-window pop-up (the little stained-glass things) comes up. It looks like a wooden shield. That's the "You can create a title!" pop-up. Click that~

It's sometimes possible to put your ruler into a state of limbo if you didn't press the accept death button.

For example, I was having an assassinate-off with another Bay12er where the both of us where just spamming the assassinate button on each other. I had actually "died" quite awhile earlier but I never accepted it and kept spamming the button until he died too. Then only did I accept it and the score screen came up.

A: Cause I don't need to 'do everything right now' and it was only at mach 2 or 1.  Oh well.  It was just a surprise to have that happen as I'm trying to do stuff.
B: Yea... I keep forgetting that stuff is there.

I'm the chief of the hospitaliers knights !

Also, had an horrible moment. 30 years old, decent guy, winning a Jihad against me (King of Jerusalem). I thought just after the Jihad would be a great time to expand a bit, I should die before a dozen year. Last battle, I die. My 5 year old son inherit, one duchy (Jerusalem) and 3 counties, the other duchy (Ascalon) goes to his brother.
I enforce demands to the Shia Caliph, get 1000 gold in compensation, nice prestige and nice piety, and a 10 year truce.
And the Kingdom implode. (no more Defending against infidels bonus).
Cicilia, Cyprus Antioch to lower CA.
Tripoli and Ascalon to put an old hag (77) on the throne.
Galilee, OutreJourdain to put my mother (my regent) on the throne.
Even with my retinues, I have like as much soldiers (8k) as one faction. Plus the nearby Emir (or something) of Damascus believe it's a good time to attack my rebelling vassal Antioch with a 15k army.

With my own levies (they start at full morale), I begin to pick on weak levies of my neigbours gathering their troops. I hire swiss guards, which brings my army to about 10k. Finally, with a lucky battle, and a great commander (24 martial !). I defeat the army of OutlreJourdain, white peace, raise his levies, which brings me to a nice 13k. I take on the army of my brother (3 year old). White peace again (it's the same as enforce demands but with half prestige), raise his levies and go on to Antioch. One of his county is occupied, and even after defeating his army, I can't peace him, since his holdings are occupied. I have as much soldiers as the emir. He changes county and begin to assault the first holding only. I get to the county he just occupied, and assault the nearly empty holdings he took. As he take the first holding, I have taken back the other county. But he took heavier losses, so I charge him, defeat him, assault his last holding, and enforce demands against the last vassal.
Conclusion : My 7 years old ruler rules, and has a nice +75 crushed major rebellions.

So, is there a retire character button?

Depressed character can commit suicide (under the decisions menu).  Depression can be gained by random events, the most common of which is "merchants visit, what should I buy?", where one option (buy nothing and sulk, I believe) will give you the depressed trait.

So this just happened, or rather was brought to my attention.
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
I have absolutely no clue how. The Hashimids recently won an invasion against Iconium but I've never seen an invasion have that effect.

Previous ruler is still alive, and because he's a vassal to the current one he's muslim, so it doesn't say much.

Man, this game just screwed me over.

See, the pope had called a crusade against the Byzantine Empire. Me, the king of Denmark and some other less powerful rulers went over there and, despite many losses and being outnumbered, thanks to me (I am not even kidding at that) we outsmarted the Byzantine Empire. I had won pretty much every major victory, and captured a fair amount of places.

However, apparently Lombardy contributed more to the war. I call bull because not only did they seemingly not capture a single territory, but they didn't even win any battles in the war! I killed tens of thousands, and all they did was walk like idiots around and get murdered. Yet apparently they had 6K or so more warscore. Even after I resigned and reloaded. Sigh. Does anyone have any idea how that happened?

I'm playing the mod CK2+ if it matters.

Losing men > killing men > winning sieges.

As far as war contribution goes at least.

I lost at max 1981 less men than him (at least, on solo battles, I'm sure I lost a lot more helping the pope in his battles), but killed 14891 more troops and occupied 5 holdings while he occupied none. Surely warscore isn't that broken?
