AFAIK, only the children of a matrilinear message belong to the mother's dynasty after the marriage. So, should your firstborn have a bad case of death, the heir in a matrilinear marriage needs to organize a good ol' knifing and he's free again.

The kind of marriage never matters for succession. Well, seniority is only for the same dynasty, so children (of the father) of a matri marry will of course not inherit in that case.

Used to be you could remove unwanted heirs from succession by sending them into a religious career (giving them a temple holding). That does not work anymore.

You can give a barony, then a church, and then revoke the barony. That way you can invalidate your heir ;)

I find it funny how people can stay black in this game. Someone can have a single great-grandmother that was brought from Mali and still be black as charcoal, after 3 generations of breeding with white-as-sour-cream Swedes.

In fact, it was a black slave, married to a patrician, whose granddaughter married to the King of Poland. His son (black) became King, and married to the daughter of the King of Nubia (I believe), and his daughter is the actual Queen.
I didn't noticed it happened until her husband (the guy jailed in the picture) launched an host on me.
