I don't know if other countries can recognize your Antipope as their Pope.

What happen when your vassal Pope dies though? I know you can't nominate a successor, even with Free Investiture.
It will just generate a new successor and he'll remain your vassal.

Some of the new events are kind of silly.

Some of the old were too, like the event sequence to increase your Martial were you find a chinese martial art master dozing in an inn. Kinda break the immersion for me.

I think I'm going to give up playing until they fix revolts (The peasant/religious revolts). It doesn't add anything to the game except tedium. I get one every few minutes and sometimes I'll get 5 at once. They really should make them stronger and happen far less often. They make managing an empire a chore.

Don't complain. You can put it down personally and get a vassal approval or just let the vassal to put it down.

Yeaaah. That was an interesting game. The biggest problem I always have is Paganism doesn't spread, like at all, which makes managing an empire difficult when all your vassals hate you. But I guess they have to have some downside for actually being able to conquer territory at a decent speed, which doesn't rely on random chance, or knowing how in the heck claims work.

Once you reform a pagan religion they spread a lot faster within your realm. I never had a problem with my vassals before that though because I made sure they were of my own religion. I think once you reach medium crown authority you can revoke titles from heretics easily.

Ah well at least reforming helps, although securing the holy sites is another matter...

And there's a lot of not that many Norse religious people in England and Ireland. :P

It's a matter of poor design. They should be challenging to put down and add interesting flavour to the game, instead they're just incredibly tedious and repetitive. Revolts add little more than event spam and very boring micromanagement to the game. The fact that they are so easy to put down is a big part of the problem.

Seriously, two events pop up when every revolt starts - if I get 6 revolts in 5 minutes that's 12 events that are nearly identical. It's annoying as hell.

I agree. I like that there's an actual person leading the rebels, but I wish there were a bit more rare and bit stronger as well.

I guess it would be better as a announcement pop-up in the side rather than an event pop-up that stops the game.

Given the shallowness of any part of CK2 that isn't related to your characters, and I don't think there's anything they can do to make rebellions any bit more interesting. They just wanted to make them a problem, instead of before where they were a roadbump. Now they actually raise up enough rebels to provide a legitment problem.

Its not the rising up that's the problem. It's the pop-up you get when they do. Having a few dozen of them happen every 10mins is kind of annoying.
