Dynasty is important. As long as their little shield in the upper right of their character sheet is the same as yours, as long as there's a blood-drop on their face portrait, you're cool.

Exactly. And if you ever want it back under your grip for some reason, you just have to kill the guy and all immediate heirs and it'd automatically be yours. Or you could always just depose him for yourself... though I think there are certain conditions before you can do that.

But I personally think it's better to give your family members more control like that. You two will be forever allies anyway, even after each other dies, and he'd help out quite a lot in the marriage and bloodlines game. When the whole world is under the yoke of your dynasty, you can pretty much do whatever you want haha.

Like I said, I'm not going to assassinate anymore unless I have a really, really good reason. Hungary isn't really a great enough reason.

The only problem is he's Jerusalem. Hungary is almost useless to him because it has no access to the sea, and I'd bet he'd get some distance revolt modifiers too.

For me, however, Hungary is a big thing as it's my eastern neighbor (I'm Bavaria).

And as for alliances, as I'm a vassal to the HRE neither of us can call another into a war.

Not if it's a separate kingdom while you're a king to another kingdom. In that case you have to change the laws on both kingdoms.

Gifts for those on the edge, but there were some that wanted to kill people even without gifts too.

I believe most of the time I at least attempt to push my power over 100%. The latest one was 118%.

To you, maybe. But we're different people. To me, Hungary isn't worth a couple -10 maluses and the partial suicide of my dynasty since I expect I'll be needing to assassinate multiple people.

Edit: Though the new CK2+ update could change my mind. Maybe.

Edit2: I just destroyed the title instead. I think that might have fixed it. Hopefully my king will die soon so all the Hungarians won't be at -50 opinion.

How did that work?  Which title did you destroy, the Hungarian King title?  If so, did you keep your Hungarian vassals?
