Yeah I know, but as far as I remember the SVN is a dev build so it's unstable and constantly updated. I'm waiting for a normal release before I go back in again. Might just have to use the SVN at this point though.

Doublepost: I bit the bullet and am installing the SVN version of Elder Kings. Wasn't that hard really, we'll see how it goes.

It released a couple days ago so I'm assuming it's only compatible with the latest version. I think 3.3.0 was just bugfixes, so it might be fine, no guarantees though.

SVN version of Elder Kings works fine, so if you're interested in it go look at the instructions in their subforum on how to set it up. It's not much harder than extracting the zipfile.

Nitpick here but you realize that Cathars did not worship someone called Cathar or Cathar. It comes from Greek, the "Pure Ones", and it was a slur of sorts at the time (kind of a medieval "shut up Flanders"). Cathars styled themselves "Good Men"//"Good Christians".

I know it is not the name of their god. They are christians after all. But I did think they would call their religion that. Sort of like catholics would say their religion is catholicism. If it was something that other people called the herecy.

The idea is, that we are not fighting for God and neither are they. We are fighting for our right to worship him as we believe is right. The Pope is fighting us to get more power.

... it was mostly a French thing. Although the papacy was invested in the stuff, of course. Likewise other European powers helped the Cathars, not because they gave a shit about their religion, but mostly to fuck with the French.

Lotharingia. And yes, I am.
Though in this game, the crusade is happening some 50 years early and Cathar started around 1050 in Lotharingia, with Keulen (Cologne,Köln) as one of it's holy sites.
