Hrm.

My ruler had a preposterous number of girls, so I started strategically marrying them off to nearby heirs because it sounded like a good idea at the time. I've invited them all back to my court, so now I have the heirs to the Kingdom of Scotland, Kingdom of France, and the HRE all sitting in my court, waiting for me to exploit them somehow.

The question is, how will I do this, or is it even possible to take advantage of my situation? I'd like the Kingdom of Scotland especially, since France and the HRE may be too large for me to take over all at once.

Kill your daughters and any children they might have, then force the heirs into matrilinear marriages with... other daughters. Or find out a way to annul the marriages and remarry everyone matrilinearly.

I forgot to mention that I did do matrilineal marriages (Except the HRE), but they flew off to the other folks' place anyways. I had to invite them back.

In other news, I joined France in a Holy War I had no interest in participating in, but the pope gave me 200 Gold despite the fact I haven't even sent any levies to the area.

Hrm... that's kind of weird. If it was matrilineal marriages, they should have come to your court and their children would automatically inherit the claims.

I haven't tried it myself, but it looks like you can change it if you go in the Commons folder, and change "DE_JURE_ASSIMILATION_YEARS = 100" in defines.lua.

Is Sword of Islam worth it, if I don't plan on playing Islamic nations much?
I mean, does the DLC change the game at all if I still play Christian nations?

I think most of the changes affecting Christian nations that were announced with the DLC were in the concurrent patch, not the DLC itself.

Ah, right.
So the only thing the DLC does is allow you to play Islamic nations officially.

The expansions to muslims are still availible in patches, it's just that you can't play as one.

Muhahahahah.

I started the game as an awesome custom leader of Lancaster, and was just grabbing counties outside of England until...

Boom, the King of England is excommunicated... and I get an event which gives me a strong claim on England. Also, England is busy in Spain. I declared war...

I won and got all of England without any battles, and only besieging. Duke of Lancaster>King of England in 31 or so years. Heheheh. The previous king then died and now everyone likes me.

Edit: Also, the Empress of the Byzantine Empire is my Granddaughter. Which means I'm allied to them.

Is it just me, or is the Golden Horde a bit of a pushover if the Eastern Nations do well? I just stopped them in their tracks as Poland, I ended up using holy wars to annex most of their territories.

Of course, I was playing a Poland that stole vast tracks of land from the Russian nations and managed to inherit Sweden(my vassals and I were all Sveedish thanks to that episode), so when the Golden Hordes reached me I was already solid as a wall made of solidium.
