This region must be pretty safe, since Kwinkle is still not eaten by anything or anybody. And town needs food. Kwinkle toys with idea of using ants as food but rejects it as not practical. There must be something...

Personally I think after I get the tower built I'll go to the other town and see what they are up to. Maybe I can be taught some magic or something then I'll go back to our town and not talk about the other towns situation unless asked, also a dig spell.

"I understand, I also agree with goldhaven. Its a good name for a city. Also I thank you for allowing me to take 2-3 carpenters. I plan to possibly create a small stone tower, around 2 levels for the purpose of creating new mages and reasearch. I think that will be very helpful. Also I can enchant your stuff a little, possibly enough for a spell or two.

Chirlon nods. "Three of the carpenters then, and I should be able to create another phantom worker soon, as well. I hope that some immigrants come with the caravan that may help out with mining and stoneworking. I'll keep the enchantments in mind for later."

Isn't a trade caravan meant to appear soon? I just wish for some of the gold that I mined to be used to get some books, afterall words are power."

The rabbit-eared alchemist suddenly pops out of a nearby clump of bushes, triumphantly clutching a perfectly ordinary rock. She studies it for a moment, sighs, and tosses it off to the side. "Stoopid militia peoples skipping off while I was putting my foot back on. There's not even any stuff around, this jungly place is boring."

She turns to the meeting. "What if there's really only a little bit of gold up there and we run out really fast? Then it wouldn't be very much of a gold-towny-place, would it? ...Oh, and I'll head up to the river with you, boss; I need some fresh water for potion-making anyway, and if we start growing our own herbs soon, I could make some potions for trade."
