Even though its probably just damage control, I didn't think Ubi of all places would actually say they'd do this.

The version available to pirates had the DRM removed from day one, so it was performing no service beyond providing a barrier between legitimate customers and the game.

Pretty much true every time ever.

Sounds like they'll be removing the DRM, so that's not a big concern. Assuming they follow through, of course.

I'd still prefer it if they'd fix some of the porting issues, though.

hell the game is easier to pirate than some games without drm.

Well, I've gone from 'No way am I buying this' to 'Maybe I'll buy it', so at least in my case it was a good business decision for them.
