It's not bad.  The way the landscape changes is pretty incredible.  The most dramatic one I've seen so far is Thousand Sources.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

The puzzles aren't that great.  90% of it is getting your villages from point a to point b by making land bridges and stuff.

As has been previously stated, this looks like it's supposed to be exactly that. A good engine, not a game.

I've been lucky enough to not even care about it enough, but if the engine is as good as people are touting, it could make a vastly superior god game in the future. Imagine Black and White with the terrain altering this has.

Best part of this game: the new version of the ubisoft launcher has been cracked outright and has retroactively made all the other ubisoft games more easily cracked too using the same exploit. No more dicking around with special files. :D

Really gotta wonder about Ubisoft's PR department.

They screwed up the gamepad too. Picture of a ps2 controller, buttons of a ps2 controller, but they assigned the buttons the way an xbox controller does. It really shows they put no effort into the port.

I don't think they have a PR department. They are probably using the funds that they save from not having one to attempt to resurrect cyborg-Hitler so he can be the new leader of the company :-\.

As do I, but I've got enough to play already, so I'll just sit here and wait for Lords of Uberdark to become less alpha and more game.

After getting over the port job and DRM, I actually found this to be an interesting game.
Something like a 3D Falling Sand Game.
Not worth the $15 that I didn't spend, for the above issues, but certainly not horrible.

I didn't read the news, wondered a bit about Ubiplay and no graphics options, but you know what? I had a great time. It's a good game and looked just fine.

The amount of vitriol and DRM rage surrounding this game probably makes the people playing pirated copies hate it before it starts. It's really unfortunate, all the bad publicity will probably make Ubisoft bury this game away and all the added content they promised won't be made. Though Ubisoft caused this to happen mostly by themselves.

Improved your post.

All Ubisoft had to do was NOT load it up with a retarded degree of DRM and it would've been fine.

Because of all of ubisuck's stunts lately, I am really starting to hate them. They are treating us PC gamers like an ugly beat-up dead hobo which has been peed on and hung upside down in a tavern to amuse all of the drunk customers who play darts on us. And then say it's our own fault. (We lost a shoe we bought from ubisoft so the other one triggered a self-defense mechanism.)

I'm not a person who tends to hate someone/something quick, but I really feel like Ubisoft should go down, before it can ruin even more stuff. Screw the new assassin's creed, when you buy it on pc you'll probably just find a ticket in the box which you can use to play the game once at the fuckisoft headquarters, after which your saves are deleted and you have to buy a new copy in order to play again.

What about a big bomb, folk? or a lunatic with a shotgun? So much possibilities..

I disagree. They should have done more:

1. Not loaded it up with retarded DRM.
2. Not LIED about the DRM.
3. Put more effort into the port, esp. the controls.
