This is disappointing, really. I have an Xbox, but I'd prefer the PC version for mods and stuff if it's mod-able. Now I have to freaking wait another month.

DRM needs to go die back to it's basic form of, say, CD codes.

Delaying a game because of shitty DRM which will do nothing but make piracy more desirable is the worst kind of delaying.

In the cosmic scale it's not even close to important that you wait nearly a month for something, even in the average lifespan you posess, it's not even that much of a wait.
If you make the leap to small things, it's pretty large when you compare it to making a sandwich, but it's still not that long.

No, what really bugs me, is that at this late stage, not only has the game already gone gold, I bet you could walk into any store and see it being held in stock already.  Distribution is already there.  I bet we'll start having leaks as gamestops and whatnot start selling them by accident in the coming days.

Yes it's very weird that it gets postponed two days before release. Unless it's just ubi's PR being typically idiot and telling us about this in spite of the fact it was decided it'd be delayed say, one month ago? 

And isn't it supposed to be released on digital media only? That curbs the odds of a leak a bit I beleive. However there was happening some facebook contest thing and people would be able to play it earlier. Maybe someone will leak it?

Yeah, you've got to think, on a "cosmic" scale, it might not be a drop in the bucket. However people don't give a shit as we don't have a sense of this cosmic scale and never will. We don't live long enough.

It's called Microsoft being even shittier than usual and telling Ubisoft to delay it on all platforms other than XBLA so they can make more money. It was already delayed on PSN (I'm guessing the data for that was 17th August, as it's that for the PC version now) due to Summer of Arcade, so it's not a massive leap in logic to realise that Ubisoft "delayed" it to make XBLA have it exclusively for a bit longer.

Not sure if here or another thread, but didn't someone say Ubi wouldn't try anything like the always-on DRM again because of all the bad PR? You are sadly wrong again. (Its not for From Dust, its for whatever 'Driver:SanFran' is.) The console versions have Uplay as well.
