Finally got around to watching the video. I'd shell out 25 bucks just for that water dynamics. So sexy. It had me drooling the moment they showed the first rapids.

I'm praying ubisoft doesn't make this shit. If it does, there's always the nautical route.

Only if the devs have worked out such a deal with Steam. That is not the norm.

Here is the thing Ubisoft

We play games and some of the games we play are very very old. Heck we have a community who do nothing but try to make old games playable again.

When a game REQUIRES us to use a service you may, and will, cancel at any moment... that means we can't replay the game at a certain point. That stinks

And that is without getting into other issues such as "Computers without internet" or "How much work do you expect us to do just to play a game?"
