There's no sandbox mode, just the missions :c
Bets on how long it takes for someone to mod a sandbox in?

Zero days.

If you had read the preview earlier, you'd know that You unlock sandbox mode on a given map after you beat it.
EDIT: Sorry, I realize that sounds a bit hostile.  Don't mind me.
Here's that preview, so you can read it.

It looks brilliant, amazing art style and a fun little idea. Apparently, once you finish each of the missions, the level pretty much /becomes/ a sandbox, which is interesting if it leaves you with many different kinda of areas like a desert, a mountain, underground, a jungle sorta thing

This looks awesome, but... my computer sucks. Oh, well... Probably gonna check demo or something and then uninstall it, when I notice that even the title menu lags, with 640x480 resolution and graphics low, thanks to somekind of background animation  ::)

http://www.gameranx.com/updates/id/2307/article/from-dust-gets-pc-exclusive-release-on-july-27/

Releases July 27th, $15 on PC. The price......makes me a little wary. I mean, it's low. Really low. Like, indie sandbox game low. It could be worth every penny and then some....or it could be an extremely lite game.

That's great news! $15 makes me suspect there will not be much "game" to it, but I think it will probably be worth it anyway. And if it goes well there will probably be multiplayer and DLCs.

I've been following this ever sense I first saw it posted in the forums here, and I'm happy.  Just watching it, the game itself is beautiful.  lol.

I'm not so worried about the price though, as while the godly powers have their draw, the game doesn't include city building or any such thing.  Story-driven missions, various levels, and unlockable sandboxes from the level maps makes it cool.  I believe this is going ot be a game where you'd want to dump a few hours into every day or so.

Sadly, it isn't Black&White 3. But maybe this will give a great boost to the God-Game genre.  8)  Heres to hope!

Hahahah, did you PLAY Fable 3?

I think Fate of the World is a far more "god"-like god game than the Black & White games. Every turn you make a godly decision. It depends on the people for how it turns out. THAT'S what a god game should be like. You shoot off a bit of godly magic, the terrain deforms and people move around, spreading your religion.

Gameplay video looks amazing.
