Gameplay video looks amazing.
Reminds me of Populous more then it reminds me of Black and White to be honest.
Although the physics engine looks amazing as ever, I can't help but fear that the puzzle element they're building the game around becomes stale very quickly...

That comparison alone would have me excited as Populous: The Beginning is a game I still own on CD and install every couple of years. It looks really nice.

The replayability comes in because the environment is always shifting.  You could play one map where a waterfall causes a river to flow one way; but in the next the river may snake around a totally different way across the rock.  I'm not sure it will ever get stale, so long as its good and thought out. Mwhahaha!

I am excited, and don't call me "this thread".

Problem is that there isn't really much to talk about. No new news, no demo, no playability yet.

I'm a little too old to be getting excited about game releases.  I'm still buying this on release day though.

There's no such thing as being too old to enjoy, or be excited for, anything that you enjoy doing. :) Games are no more or less immature than books or movies. Besides, as us first-gen gamers grow older, it's going to be more and more 'socially acceptable' for games to be a part of an adult's life.

On a more on-topic note, I'm really eager to see how this turns out as well, but I am pretty worried about the combination of such a low price, and so few gameplay details. I really didn't want From Dust to be a 'lite'/casual game. I sure hope it has more than a smattering of little missions, otherwise I may just have to reinstall Pop3 to ease the disappointment. :c

Maybe lordcooper is like 87 or something. Maybe that is too old?

Not quite 87, I turned 20 in March.  I guess I just grew out of the whole 'OMM THIS NEW GAME/FILM/BOOK/CD IS GONNA BA AWESOME!!!' thing.  Until something's available, it doesn't really exist and as such is not worth getting all giddy over.  Just my opinion.

I know the feeling, especially since after all the hype generally the thing isn't half as good as anticipated. I saw a bunch of my friends experience this after watching the latest Harry Potter film, now they have nothing to be hyped up about their all depressed.
