Wait, are we seriously comparing hand size to an image of a plate on the Internet? How exactly are we supposed to even tell the size of it? Christ, on a high-enough resolution monitor it could be the size of my thumb (or on a low enough one, the size of my torso).

it was meant to show a type of plate which is usually a constant size, say, in real life.

just think of large paper dinnerplates which are commonly found in stores.

You see when people do something they at least feel somewhat justified and if not they are simply not as forgiving to others for their own indescretions.

and
