looting, pillaging and probably some rape
« on: August 18, 2010, 06:02:20 am »

I got tired of untidy piles of ex-goblin equipment lying around the map, so I've unrestricted it in the orders menu. Yet as new goblins get killed, their stuff is still marked as forbidden. Is this a bug or am I missing something?

You can claim en-masse by going to d > b > c

You can also go into options (o), forbid (F), and then toggle other death items (t) and they will no longer be forbidden when you kill something.

That's what I did. No effect whatsoever.

It didn't even affect new deaths?  Or just the ones that were already dead and forbidden?

Yup, new corpses still drop forbidden stuff. I know stuff theoretically unforbids when unit dies, yet nada

Sorry I couldn't help you there then.

I've been having the same problem, although sometimes it works, in my game right now it isn't.

I too have issues with the "Claim Death Items" feature not functioning. It never has worked for me. Everything must be manually un-forbidden, which is a pain in the ass.

Not too much of a pain in the ass... d-b-c, click one corner of the area where the slaughter took place, hit enter, click the other corner, hit enter...

I personally prefer the items to be forbidden, this keeps my horde of haulers from making a lemming rush into the enemy as soon as one dies and spews his belongings.
