I don't get it. He shot a guy who isn't moving, and who apparently wanted to establish a peace treaty. That doesn't make him awesome, it just makes him a jerk.

What reason could anyone possibly have for voting against Arthur Dent?

Especially as the Doctor from Doctor Who, upon saving the world in a bathrobe, says "very Arthur Dent" about it.

I vote arthur dent. He has one thing picard doesn't, a towel.

Besides, Picard couldn't even kill him, he's a hitchhiker, the entire time picard is hunting him down, he'd just hitch a ride and use picards ship to get across the galaxy.
