I stand corrected. The ones in the 'inhabitable' desert get to 500m. The largest one recorded is one from the Deep Desert, at 2800m. (The one Paul rode.) I submit that one.

Well yes, nice of you to notice.  But I made my jest with an understanding that we were using meters (:  I am passingly familiar with Dune, after all.
