Re: RTD: Project Twilight [Round 5: vs. Burly Man and Lady Doctor | Waiting]
« Reply #105 on: August 18, 2010, 08:57:09 pm »

COMBAT
Stephen stumbles back, clutching his side and attempts to take cover from the crazy doctor lady.

Breaking away from combat!
Result: 4

Stephen has had enough of crazy ladies with guns. He turns and successfully takes cover behind his cylinder. It won't stop a bullet, but it will mess up the aim of anyone trying to shoot him through it.

Pick up the pisol and threaten the Burly man into surrender.

Pick up the pisol
Result: 5

Jane quickly darts for the gun and picks it up, pointing it at the Burly Man's face.

Intimidation Roll: Natural 1

Unfortunately, her attempt to threaten him only enrages him (+1 to next roll).

Elizabeth grabs few shards of the sharp plastic-glass that here cylinder was built from and attempts to stab the female doctor if she is close, or throw shards at her, if she is away.

Grab shards
Result: 3
Elizabeth grabs one of the biggest shards she can find, which is a bit larger than her hand. In grabbing it she manages to cut herself on the hand, but does no real damage.

Attack female doctor
Attack Roll: 5 - 1 (Improvised Weapon) = 4
Defensive Roll (Female Doctor):4 (lost coin toss - hit!)
Location Roll: 5 (upper torso)
Damage Roll: 4
Female Doctor rolls to stay conscious: Natural 1 (ouch)

Turning, Elizabeth flicks the shard at the Female Doctor. The shard flies further and more accurately than it has any right to, striking the female doctor in the upper torso. She falls over, unconscious, her weapon clattering nervelessly on the ground.

Try to pick up the pistol and fire at the female doctor.

Try to pick up the pistol
Result: 4

Cecilia moves towards the Burly Man's pistol, but the blonde woman [Flintus10] manages to grab it first. She instead grabs for the Female Doctor's weapon, which she clearly does not need right now.

Result: 3

Cecilia dives for the Female Doctor's pistol, landing hard. She manages to get her hands on it, but does not have enough time to shoot.

Look if i can pull out the pipe i almost impaled myself in, then Charge Mr burly Man

Pull out pipe
Result: 3

Pierre shakes off his shock and tugs at the pipe. After a few attempts, he manages to dislodge the pipe from the wall.

Quote from: Burly Man
The man attempts to smash the crazy woman [Flintus10] who just disarmed him with his baton.

Attack Roll: 5 + 1 (enraged) = 6
Defensive Roll (Jane): 3 (hit!)
Location Roll: 2 (Left Leg)
Damage Roll: 5 (oh jesus)
Jane Sears rolls to stay conscious: 2

The Burly Man ducks, in the same movement bringing his Heavy Baton around to strike at Jane Sears. The baton smashes into her knee with sickening force, breaking it quite badly. Jane falls over, unbalanced, and passes out.

Quote from: Female Doctor
The doctor presses her back against the door and fires at the long-haired man [Forsaken1111] again.

Is unconscious. No action. Stabilization rolls begin next turn.

This man as no right to attack an unarmed lady like that ! I will not accept this; There are Dames to be rescued ! Holding the pipe tighly under my armpit, I then charge the burly man with no intention of stopping, tackling him at least if i can't impale him A vile man like him deserve no pity

In all fairness, it was a good idea. It's just that, you know. Natural One.

Sorry, yeah, I accidentally left in the previous words from the last initiative count. Initiative, as I said, carries over unless you do something to change your situation drastically, necessitating a re-roll (like Flintus did) or acquire a bonus/penalty which is added to your initiative score for the combat (like you just did, and like what happened to the Burly Man.)

Hey, Josephus, I got a question.

By OOC information, does this mean I know about the other's powers and stuff?

You are aware of pretty much everything I post in the thread except for the rules themselves (which would be a bit meta for my tastes). Actually, that makes your pick a bit overpowered, so I think I'll add another crimp to your style to balance it out. Specifically, JUSTICE always has to make movement rolls when moving, but only takes the -2 over difficult terrain.

That's pretty cool.

So I can tell if a dude's injured because another player hurt him even if it's really far away in-game?

:D

Yea bro, as long as it's been written down in the thread and is not a combat/general rule, you'll be aware of it thanks to Oracle.
