Yes, Vest of resistance is a cloak of resistance that takes up the vest slot instead. I think it is from the 'Complete Arcane' book, but otherwise I don't see much validity besides saves being based upon class levels, but calling them a 'class ability'... Still, the vest of escape is stretching it a touch, it is just skill bonuses, and everyone gets skills.

What I meant by
Can we have some extra experience points for item crafting?
Was that if we started off with 16000 xp instead of 15000 then we could craft a little and still start at sixth, but I can just start at fifth if I want...

Ah, I see. The Vest of Resistance is fine. The other vests are pretty sketchy. Mantels and stuff are fine. Everything in books that are not broken or have some sorta controversy are fine (Broken items should be obvious, and avoided, not that I can think of many/any off the top of my head. Controversial items should pretty much just be brought up on a case by case basses.)

As for exp: No. You will have to start at a lower level or wait until the first session (or first time we break at a good pausing point for you guys to rest for a while.)

I can probably play, but I've got something of my own brewing, something that will work this time, for real, I swear.

I think I'll be remaking Ulf, but different.  Still a barbarian to fit the rage aspect of the prophecy, but less 2d.  I can't RP unless I'm the DM, the very idea paralyzes me for some reason.  It's time to stop hiding and face my fear.

Ulf 2.0 will be more charismatic, a noble warrior from the highlands.  Probably with a greatsword.  More Beowulf than Conan.

Neato. Rorakar 2.0 is really just Rorakar 1.0 but with another level and two melee weapons, so not much change there.

How does that impact the timing aspect?

Also, I believe that Ulf was the hero of strength? Something at least. I am struggling to find the first part of the prophesy, which if I can't find it won't matter anyway cause I can just write it up around the new guys.

Ulf 2.0 should get Monkey Grip. Large greatsword, make it happen.

And yeah, Glacius 2.0 is the same except less spellcaster and more breath weapon user. And lacking a few dumb mistakes of mine (skills being based on ECL, not class level, for one).

Could I mark off 500 gp and assume that I have an arbitrarily large supply of items from the goods and services lists that cost less than 10 gp? Obviously things like thousands of feet of hemp rope or infinite mules would be vetoed, but I would rather not have to keep track of all the items I am likely to bring...

P.S. Factor in some sort of weight penalty too I suppose, carrying ladders around seems a bit, odd...

P.P.S.
'k, moving fighter level from 2nd to 4th to take craft wondrous at 3rd.
crafting:
4000 amulet mantle of health +2
4000 cloak vest of resistance +2
4000 gauntlets belt of ogre power
 4000 gloves of dexterity +2
4000 four 1st level pearls of power
=10000 gp + 400 xp

buying
 200 breastplate
 325 masterwork spiked chain
100 two cold iron spiked chains
750 wand of cure light wounds

I could've sworn it was rage.

And as long as we don't put them at the same time, it shouldn't.

That's quite a good idea. What do you other players think, should we just assume everyone has things like food and basic supplies when it makes sense? I like this idea.

I could've sworn it was rage.

Perhaps, I guess it does not matter cause I will need to rewrite it, I have lost all my notes other then the stuff I had to do with Skye, so I have the second part that is written on his arm, but nothing else really.

Yes, eating and shelter are now gameplay abstractions.

Damn.

Anybody remember what prophecy stuff we've had so far? Is the giant tablet and Skye's arm it?

All I remember about the tablet is something about Captain Planet...

I reckoned we were using the 'upkeep' model - so much gp is deducted per month (see the DMG) to represent our style of living, going from 2gp for subsistence farming (buying thread to repair clothes etc) to ~10gp for modest but comfortable living to ~50gp for luxurious wealth to ~200gp for "oh god I'm an emperor fawn over me, bring me ale-soaked wenches draped in gold!".

So, we are on for the 17th September, yes?  If we are starting at 12am GMT, I will only be on for 2 hours - the sooner it starts, the more I will be on, as I have to be at school in the morning.  (I start on Wednesday, so tonight I'm actually unusually free).

12AM GMT on a saturday puts that at 4pm Friday in GMT -8. I can make that, but I'll be an hour late. I thought we were playing on Sundays, though?

I meant the 18th.  I was counting from the 14th and for some reason I thought Fridays followed Wednesdays...

I have a large cross country invitational in the morning that day. I may or may not be late.

I believe the general idea was the 18th at 11 o'clock. So that will be a three hour session and I believe everyone can make it.

That's fine, we can have the Sultan control your guy until you get there.

I am thinking I will just retcon it, it was really poorly written anyway, not that the new one will be any better.
