Depending on my mood I might use the simple "The iron is a temporary conjuration and disappears after 24 hours" answer (which gives them a day to sell the iron and get some distance between themselves and the buyer).

If I was feeling vindictive they would initially get away with it, but the more they did stuff like it the greater the local elemental imbalance became - sooner or later they'd get repeatedly ambushed by earth elementals until they returned the 'stolen' iron to the earth.  And not just them - anyone in the locality.  So even if the adventurers could easily dispatch a few elementals it's a matter of time before someone connects these ravaging monsters and the player characters.  Even if things don't get to the mob stage, they are likely to at the very least be refused service.  And adventurers who can't get inn rooms, buy equipment and (ever critically) sell loot are pretty damned stuck.

I really want to try the "wish for infinite clubs" thing, just to see what the DM would do. There are so many hilarious ways to break the game. I love this list http://everything2.com/title/Humour%253A+D%2526D+Third+Edition

I fear that I already have too many D&D games on this forum, but if you are short of characters I might end up doing the foolish thing...
What is UCT? I know what GMT is, I know that Microsoft is trying to change it to UTC, which seems to somehow stand for Coordinated Universal Time. I also suspect that it may stand for U.s.a. Central Time...

UCT is, as far as I can tell, an hour ahead of GMT (GMT+1?).

Also, on the infinite clubs thing - at that point I'd just rule that you're really replicating wood and use the commodity rules for wood replication instead.

The bow isn't +2 enhancement it's Mighty+2.  A mighty composite bow adds the wielder's strength bonus to shots, but only up to the Mighty Rating (in my case +2).  Each point of mighty rating costs 100 extra gold.

I still haven't gotten any info on what the medium is. Is it a whiteboarding client? Depending on what it is, I might join in. I've always like Eberron.

That reminds me of a crazy character I made that I called Jed the Bowbarian. He carried an incredibly powerful Composite Greatbow that he could only use when he was really pissed off. (raging) It was a +8 Mighty Composite Greatbow, and it was indeed incredible. After he saved enough for some strength enhancing items he began to use it normally, but by then his rage was more powerful. Following the obvious course, I sold the old bow and got a +12 version.

There is no U.S.A. Central time, we use CST for central. Anyway, I think it's just a typo for UTC. I think the Coordinated Universal Time is actually a different language, probably French or something.

On checking Wikipedia, it's actually Frenglish :P It's a compromise of French and English, "Universal Time, Coordinated".

We only have 3 people including myself. Let's see, I think Ulf is the tank, Merrian Skye is our rogue/bard, and I am a spellcaster. We definitely need a healer, though I can help with that with my eternal wand :) By the way, eternal wands are only usable for spellcasters that can cast arcane spells, so I'm the only one that can use one so far. Also, just so everyone knows, I do not have a familiar, however, I do plan on getting one later on at some point.

Thanks for clearing that up Cthulhu, I haven't really seen the Mighty thing before.

Also, I'm going to go camping for a couple of days, leaving in a couple of hours or something. I'll probably be back sometime around Monday, so I'm probably not going to miss much except (hopefully) getting our last two party members.

The last time Criptfiend was actually active (according to his profile) was August 17th. I hope we're using some combination of Maptool, Hamachi, and IRC, because those are all cross-platform, and I don't really want to have to boot into Vista. Though people around here don'r really use anything else.

Gametable RC7 also works for cross platform.

I'll submit a character for if we're using a whiteboarding client. I don't want to get into another IRC game, I prefer the tactical aspect of the tiles. [working on it now]

You really can both sig it.
But... That would break the laws of sigging! We can't have everyone running around with the same quotes. IT MAKES THEM UNFUNNY FASTER!

I'm making a Ranger at the moment (never made one before) that will likely be a Grippli. (Those are in the monster manual. That's allowed, right?)

Gonna go for archery and skillmonkeyship, because I've got a lot of characters with TWF.

The session times would mean I'd be 30-60 minutes late, so if they were an hour later I'd be on time (Or at the most extreme, 15 minutes late.)

Rorakar the Hunter, a Grippli Ranger.
Spoiler: Like this, but 2'10" (click to show/hide)

I got at least one piercing, slashing, and bludgeon weapon, as well as a flaming bow for Trolls and an alchemical silver spear for werewolves. I've heard that rangers (particulary small-sized ones) don't deal much damage, but at least I can be versatile, right?

Exactly the same for me, if I am able to join.

I'm willing to play whatever is needed, which is apparently a healer?
Ill see what I can come up with.

Spoiler: I made a pog. (click to show/hide)

It would seem that thus far we have...

Ulf Son-of-Bear, a 6'2" 200 pound Human Barbarian, who is incredibly not-squishy, with 41 HP and 16 AC.

Glacius, a 6'4" 220 pound Half-Human Sorceror with wings and a tail, who is very squishy, at 14 HP and 14 AC (Kind of hilarious that the biggest character is one of the squishiest)

Merrian Skye, a 5'11" 200 pound Human Rogue who is somewhat below average, at 14 HP and 17 AC

Rorakar the Hunter, a 2'10" 31 pound Grippli Ranger who is actually the second best tank, at 21 HP and 19 AC.

...and whatever you're going to be. It's likely that the most helpful character to add (for combat) would be a support caster of some kind, another person to soak up damage, a melee character to deal damage so that Ulf doesn't get bogged down while other enemies head for the squishies, or something that gets an incredible number of attacks, to better finish off disabled enemies. In the case of skill challenges, (which I hope there will be a lot of) a diplomat would be swell, along with a relatively strong character with skill points to burn. (For cliff-climbing, swimming, etc.)

*A few discrepancies I noticed - Merrian should have a BaB of 2 (ranger +1, fighter +1), Glacius should have more HP. (you start with your full HD at level one)
