Still thinking about that.

Okay.

I know most of you want to buy things, now is the time. With that extra gold, I don't know how much you each have, but it is a lot.

What's the availability of Kaorti Resin in a town of 80,000?

Here's a short description of it. More information can be found in the Fiend Folio, page 110. Unless there's a Kaorti around, I'd probably have to pay for it to be summoned. It might be possible for a hired wizard to polymorph some rocks into the weapon, if no Kaorti are willing to part with their palm sweat.

Sorry, going to have to go with a no, seeing as the Kaorti were made by a huge magic accident, a rare even in of itself, and the possibility of such a thing in this game world has been around for only like five years. Basically, although Kaorti are possible, they do not exist yet.

So how about a +1 Maiming or Enfeebling Bladed Gauntlet? (4325gp)

Are you sure that you priced that as a weapon and not an armour?

I believe that I have 6934.4gp which I will be saving towards a suit of mithril full plate(10500gp). But I may be willing to part with some cash if someone else has something that they really need...

I always seem to forget that part. I'll just save my money for now until I can afford one of the best weapons ever.

Base weapon: Masterwork Bladed Gauntlet: 1d6 damage, 17-20 threat, x2 critical. 3.25% of an Ulf.

Enchantments: Enfeebling Bladed Gauntlet +1 with Improved Critical. 80% of an Ulf.

Result: 1d6 damage, 13-20 threat, x2 critical. On a critical, the enemy takes 1d6+2 strength damage. Priceless.

((Or 8,325 gold.))

Hey Criptfeind, I found a solution to my dragon problem. A Ring of Dragon Friendship.
Quote
This ring is carved to look like a dragon coiled around the wearer’s finger. The wearer gains a +5 enhancement bonus on Diplomacy checks made to influence the attitude of dragons. No dragon will voluntarily attack or otherwise attempt to harm the wearer. Once per month, the wearer can use a suggestion effect on a dragon (heightened to 9th level; Will DC 23 negates).

If the wearer attacks a dragon in any way (including by the use of the ring’s suggestion power), this ring loses its powers for 24 hours. (The suggestion effect can continue after the ring stops working.)

Strong enchantment; CL 17th; Forge Ring,
Heighten Spell, dominate monster, suggestion; Price 28,750 gp.
The bold words is the important bit. Now I just need to get around 22000 more gold.

That will piss them off to no end.

Might work in the short term though.

I wonder if the dragons will just polymorph into villagers and pretend to be a peaceful village. Then when we go blazing through and 'accidentally' hurt one, they tear you to pieces.

The more I say, the less the DM can use without copying!

Where are we buying this from, what agreements have we made, and is that money on top of the cash we already have?

Barb, that theory only works if the DM cares, a good DM will be beyond such trivial concerns...

It is 5800gp on top of whatever you already had.
We agreed that saving the prince deserved a reward.
We are buying from a goblin city, they do not appear to be offering any discounts, but they should stock just about anything that we can afford.

Taking my masterwork greataxe and enchanting it into a +1 Keen greataxe, for 8000 gold.

I also buy an amulet of natural armor +1 for 2000 gold, leaving me with 31 gold.

This is why I didn't spend anything from our first payday.  I was planning this all along.
