You Lot.

Rovell and Dragnar: The double doors are very large, easily twice the height of the suits around you. Mostly white jade, there is a small golden panel about chest height that crosses the gap where the two doors meet. It bears only one distinguishing mark, that of a blazing sun. Laia is sticking fairly close to Rovell, looking about the place in wonder.

Lera: You frolic between the legs of the great suits of armour, but your search for moonsilver proves fruitless.

Elzal, Wisdom and Gold + Efrit: A mighty find, don't you think?

Rovell examined the door.  Interesting thing, really.  Probably used to move warstriders in and out.

He reached out and touched the mark of the sun, wondering how to open it.

You Lot.

Rovell and Dragnar: The mark glowed briefly, then the doors swung open smoothly, revealing four more towering suits of armour, much larger than the ones outside. Two are made of gold, two are made of silver, but all four are fairly plain, as though built purely for function over form. Or that their constructor wasn't done making them look pretty yet.

Around the room are neatly organized workbenches, and a small number of doors branching off.

Well, that certainly made him feel better.  They may not have been quite as ornamented as Rovell would have liked, but they certainly appeared to be Orichalcum and Moonsilver.

Turning with a grin, he cupped his hands over his mouth and shouted.  "Hey, Lera!  I found something you might like!"

"Whaa?" Lera came stumbling out of the under the various Warstriders, when she looked up and saw the two large ones. Oh yes. Oh yes. Letting out a little pleased squeak Lera charge up next two Solars, practically pouncing on them with two, quick, tight hugs. "Oh this is great! Luna got the gos to let me have any moonsilver in here! that means both of those are mine! Legallyfied and all that. they have to give them to me!" She laughed again, jumping all over the closest moonsilver warstrider, examining it carefully and starting on the attunement process already as she babbled on.

"I can't wait to show this off at the next Lunar gathering! All the others will be so jealous! This is amazing!"
She bubbled on happily.

"Glad to see you're happy, Lera,"  Rovell said, still grinning.  He considered attuning himself to one of the other warstriders, but decided that he could do that later if he really wanted to.  For now, it would probably be better to check out the other door.  "Mind reserving one of these for me, Dragnar?  I'm going to see what's behind the other door before anything else."

He turned and sprinted to the opposite end of the cavern, and placed his hand on the sun symbol.*

Wisdom was still standing at the entryway.
A find of this sort hadn't been recorded since...since news that the seventh legion was still alive.

When he heard the doors rumble open shortly followed by a long, high pitched squealing, he knew Lera had found something.

"...Indeed" he muttered as he made his way there. When he did it wasn't the giant war machines that caught his eye. Oh they were big, and Lera was loud, but his eyes riveted to the workbenches.
Ancient craftsmen and sorcerers had toiled here. And by the looks of it, they had been very good at their jobs. He was already resigned to let this trove of artifacts go to the city. A death knell for it coincidentally. Even with the armor the city didn't have the manpower to resist those who would come seeking such wonders.

What he was interested in was the workshops. Was this where they did all the work? Or merely the finishing touches? And if so was the major craftsroom elsewhere in the compound?

"Hmm... while these are impressive and all, they are a bit... conspicuous." Dragnar said looking up at the giant suits of armor. He then picked one of the smaller side doors at random and looked inside.

You Lot.

Rovell: It takes Rovell a moment, but eventually he makes it to the other door. Inside appears another strange sight. The huge room is shaped like a rotated cylinder, one end really far above the door, ending in a thick gateway the size of the room. Back at the bottom, around Rovell-level, are what appear to be three huge bays set into the floor, all empty, and a small number of smaller bays, which do have seem to have things in.

Dragnar: Dragnar chooses the first door on the right, for simplicities sake. Inside is a number of shelves, upon which numerous small devices sit, categorized by what he assumes is their name, not being able to read the strange ancient text.

"I suspect this is might be the warstrider exit, then..."

Rovell paused for a moment, then turned to examine the smaller bays.  He wondered what could be in them.

Dragnar looked around for a moment before popping back out of the room to yell at Wisdom. "Wisdom! I think you'll want to take a look at this."

As Dragnar called Wisdom reluctantly left behind the work benches to examine whatever it was Dragnar had in mind.

A suspicion began forming in his mind.

Tactical analysis was not a strong suit for Kerish, especially in a complicated situation like this. The second-in-command of the demons would inevitably go to ground, but the question remained of whether or not she should pursue him or remain with the monk. The city would be endangered by the toxic aura, at least until- Wait, the aura would need to die down. The wretch would go to ground outside the city! Any hiding place would be destroyed otherwise, or too well fortified for her to infiltrate alone. Yes, she would continue to monitor the monk. The real matter was his intentions for the warstrider. That might impact things.

So, a scorpian with silver trimmed carapace remained in its hiding place, observing the monk from a safe distance.

Shrugging, Elzal began wandering aimlessly.  This was certainly a momentous find, but how were they supposed to get all of this back to Great Forks?  Unless there was some form of mass carrier for these giant suits of armor, he didn't see how they'd manage to bring back more than a few at a time, which would draw attention back to this place.

Akar and Mystery Guest.

Akar heads outside to find pandemonium.

Wounded litter the streets, in a gruesome pathway leading to the nearest gate. People clutch horrible burns as the moan and groan on the street, while more healthy people dash around trying to help them. The guards play a heavy presence now, doing what they can to help.

You lot.

Rovell: Strange shaped things sit as though docked in the bays. Chariot-like in appearance, but horseless and with weird bulbous vents rather than wheels, they are held upright by struts extending from the base of the craft.

Lera: As the inside of the warstrider lights up, the connections attaching to the right points of your body, something makes talks at you in a language you do not understand, then pauses.

Wisdom and Dragnar: The shelves bear lots of what look like first age tools, and a number of utility items, going by the names; Hearthstone Compasses, Resplendent Personal Assistants, etc, etc, all arranged neatly.
