Akar leapt over the Apes, easily escaping the enclosing Circle, not about to let the fellow escape. Flames roared and blades flickered as he lunged, form flickering upward to somersault over one of the Apes, using the creatures body as springboard to fling himself still higher into the air.

"I've made peace with my gods. If the time for me to die has come, so be it. I'll meet Death with Blade in hand, and smile on my face. I doubt you can claim the same."

Akar landed neatly, form seeming to flicker between the Apes. It seemed less that he moved around him, then the notion that they were ever in his way was an illusion caused by the crackling flames and shimmering heat waves. He struck all at once at the fellow, blade slashing in a vicious downward strike.

"I gave you a choice. Leave this city, now. I'll spare your worthless hide, if only beause I have far to many other things to do."

The Immaculate's Fire Crackled and leapt as he prepared for the next swarm of attacks.

Gold dashed through the open door, raising an eyebrow at Rovell as though in agreement with Dragnar's question.

Lera ran in after Dragnar, wondering very briefly, how they would be getting out once this was over, might be a problem. "Great work Rwovell. Now lets grab the artifacts and get out of here, Kay?"

[Lucus Casius]

Rovell scratched Lera behind the ears fondly, glad that she had mentioned the artifacts before he had to explain himself.  "Thank you, Lera.  Shall we?"

[DrakeRaids]

"Mmmm." Lera let out a small coo of pleasure at the scratching, her tail twitching happily and eyes fluttering lazily. That felt nice.... The moment his hand left her ear her hand flashed up and forced it back quickly, "Don't stop till I say. Now Dragnar, the map say about where to go from here? Or more traps?"

"Hmm? Eh, I doubt it, I think we're probably in the clear from here on. But I'll check." Dragnar took the map back out and looked over it, searching for any more notes about this place. Without looking up at the map, he addressed Rovell, "So, as I was saying: How did you know the code to get in here? I can't think something like that would have been written down anywhere."

[Lucus Casius]

Rovell shrugged and continued to scratch Lera.  He wasn't planning on talking about that any time soon.

[DrakeRaids]

Lera frowned at Rovells silence, "Whats wrong Rwovell? You can trust us!" She said, turning up at him with warm smile. "How'd ya figure it out?"

[Lucus Casius]

Rovell smiled back, despite himself.  He considered kissing her, for a moment, before remembering that she still had her claws out and that he was rather fond of his neck being in one piece.  Still, tempting.

"Well..." he began hesitantly.  "That's just it.  I'm not entirely sure what just happened, but..."  He shook his head slowly.  "It was... a flashback, of sorts.  Just not to anything I've ever experienced."

"Well, it got us in here, and that's what matters."  Elzal said, fiddling with his bracer.

Wisdom rolled his eyes but said nothing. A flashback. Of course. People had flashbacks which gave them information they clearly never possessed in the first place all the time.  That wasn't a pathetic, and frankly suspicious lie at all.

[Akigagak]

Akar.

The man grits his teeth to the heat of Akar's anima as he catches the twin blades with the wide flat of his blade. the Black Ink in the air is getting thick and near unbearable, each splash of it on the Monk's flesh and clothes hissing and spitting. The apes get a similar treatment.

"Fine!" He pushes with his sword, landing a couple of feet back. "Fine. I have better jobs to do anyway." He stays on his guard, though, watching Akar carefully, eyes darting to the exits.

You Lot.

The dome falls with a crash and a rumble, the earth shaking as a wave of air and dust follows the gang down the tunnel. The exit seems to be blocked, as no light from outside is getting in, but the lights inside the tunnel are still working, somehow. Colin is missing, but Laia is still present, if a bit shell shocked.

The tunnel is lined with a layer of green jade, and ends with an arch into a cylindrical room, pedestal in the middle. In the middle of the pedestal is a glowing dome of white jade, inlaid with orichalcum. Crackling noise comes at the group from the walls, and those who know old realm are able to catch the odd word, but it's unintelligible.

"Oooooo I wonder what that is!" Lera growled, breaking from the group suddenly and charging up the pedestal to touch the dome. Colin was gone. shame, but nothing to do about it for now, he probably got out alright. "Looks pretty. Wonder what it does?"

[Akigagak]

It feels warm to the touch, but aside from that nothing happens.

"Hmmm." Lera pulls at the dome a little, seeing if she can dislodge it easily, or open it somehow, then pushed down on it some, while murmuring to herself lightly. She knew there had to be artifacts around here somewhere! Unless someone had got them already....
