salt water lakes
« on: August 14, 2010, 04:52:53 pm »

i'd be shocked if this hasnt come up before, but i thought i'd mention salt water lakes or perhaps improved errosion algorithms.  I'm embarked on this fresh water lake right now, which is surrounded by rock-salt mountains.

its a little strange.  reminds me of this, actually:  http://www.thelivingmoon.com/45jack_files/03files/Endangered_Earth_Sinkhole_Louisiana.html

which has almost certainly come up before also.

Well it would make sense if salt would effect normal water somehow. We already can have very small oceans that is kind of like a saltwater lake. Trough I do think that making salt walls dissapear in water could have some interesting uses.

An extension of Salt Water I'd like to see would be dead seas. Just, big bodies of water with no life (except, maybe unlife. Perhaps terrifying salt water lakes?) in or around them.
