If you've played Men of War (S:HOWW2 might have had this but I never played it) you would know that at any time you can directly control any of the units under your command in a sort of third person shooter mode. Company of Heroes tried to rip this off (and from what I heard failed at quite a bit).

There is a demo for Men of War available of the first mission. It's not a very good mission considering that it is trying to be a tutorial, as it leaves it up to you to figure out a lot of how the game works.

It's an interesting game. Tricky, too, when I ended up with nothing but the tank on the demo level. Pretty fun. I might grab it.

One of the things I loved the most about men of war was how the terrain would deform, in large battles you'd start with an ordinary town/forest/whatever and it would degenerate into an utter mess of craters and ruined buildings, just look at what happens in the trailer, then imagine that kind of thing happening dozens of times. Heck I've blown through buildings before just to get from one street to another without being funneled into the enemies deadly line of fire.

One of the funniest things to do is hide tanks inside buildings, then pop out as you see enemy ones driving past.

The reason why this expansion will be awesome is because they're adding randomly generated co-op missions for you to play with your friends.
